News

According to IGN, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures will be released on June 7 in the US without the Navi Trackers mini-game found in the Japanese version. Navi Trackers, originally planned as its own game under the name Tetra's Trackers, allowed up to four players to use their Game Boy Advances (linked to the GameCube) to compete in a sort of treasure-hunting contest. Though Nintendo of America has not given any explaination for the removal of Navi Trackers from the American version, localization issues may be to blame. The Japanese version includes detailed voice acting that would require English translation if it were to be featured in the US version of the game.

dang...thats...really too bad.

But, Nintendo is staring to have more voice acting...thats a plus right?

I think that's lame.

There selling point at E3 and there not even going to release it. What is Nintendo doing? I hope N5 is wonderful cause lately Nintendo has been dissapointing me.

Navi Trackers never seemed to take too warm of a reception from gamers, anyways. I remember all the comments of shock and disgust when the game was first revealed as Tetra's Trackers.

So now they have nothing...

Don't tell me you can't see why I feel dissapointed.

I'd rather have a fun free add on any day that nothing.

You still get Hyrule Adventure and Shadow Battle.

I wasn't too interested in Navi Trackers either.

"Don't tell me you can't see why I feel dissapointed.

Of course I understand. Some people won't care, though.

Hmmmm... So I'm the only one who finds this dissapointing, and would have like the extra that the japs are getting. I find this hard to believe.

Exactly. It might be nice to play it but I understand the change. It's very local to Japanese meaning much of it won't make sense to us anyways.

I don't want anybody to get me wrong. I would have liked to see it included with the game, too, but I was just refering to other folks not being too thrilled about Navi Trackers. I agree that something is better than nothing, too. (Just wanted to clarify my stance on the matter.)

I think it's kinda lame. From a buisness standpoint it makes sence seeing as most people weren't too thrilled about it anyways. So might as well not spend time and money on translation and voice acting But that doesn't change the fact that they are removing, what could have been, a fun addition.

I never liked the idea of Navi Trackers anyway. Think there's any chance of them replacing it with something better?

Another STUPID mistake by Nintendo.

Wait....so you need to use GBA's to play?

*pretends to act suprised*

No. They canceled that. They said that they would have to make it compatible with American GBA, so they decided to just leave it out.

lol

Joke!

This is really dissapointing however.

My mind delves back into a dark corner of my mind, and from it a word is revealed to me. A single silable that has managed to stick consistantly in my mind and resurface once more in its original unaltered form. Having passed away in my transition into later life, it returns with same feeling of power and strength that it always had, and will retain forever.

I say in response to this news,
"spoot."

This news is discouraging to me. I am looking forward to The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Plus more than I did in waiting for Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicals. The Navi Trackers idea seemed to me an innovative enough idea that would offer something a little extra to the two modes which I believe would have by and far have out shone it.

Having Tales of Symphonia in my library will most definately compensate though...

For those who say they werent all that interested in the Navi trackers or whatnot think of it in this point of view...2 "games" or three, how many would you like when considering adding this to your collection, or at least renting it...I want three and i know you all do to, and dont act like it was a good decision...it seems time saving and cheaper.

I don't think anybody is suggesting that they didn't want it to be on there so much as it didn't personally interest them. The two are totally different. It's like with me, I thought it would be great for Navi Trackers to make it in there, but never was personally interested in it. Not being interested doesn't mean I don't think it would have been great being included.
