Mozilla Firebird has been renamed to FireFox in this .8 release. Everyone who had firebird should upgrade, but be sure to FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS!

FIREBIRD USERS: DO NOT INSTALL YET Go to manage bookmarks > file > export and save them somewhere. If you got the installer version of Firebird like you were supposed to, run the uninstaller. When it asks to delete profiles, say YES.
If you got the zip, close all FB windows and go to your firebird icon properties on the desktop and put a *space*-p at the end of the target field. So it will look like this: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firebird\firebird.exe" -p
and launch it. A new profile thing should pop up. Go to manage profiles and delete 'default user'. Then just exit out. Delete all your firebird files.
Just install normally. When it opens and asks to be default, say yes. If you had firebird before, go to bookmarks and file > import your bookmarks you exported a second ago. New users, go check the imported IE favorites and see if they are all there.
Go to View > toolbars > customize. You can drag and drop the interface the way you want it. The little field on the right is a google search. (You can change it later) The little sickle thing is the throbber, the thing that animates when loading. Experment with it. After you isntall the external app extention, you can make shortcuts to your programs on the tool bar. First, drag the external app button off the customize window, and then right click > new button on it.

Now click and install these extentions one at a time. Install into profile when it asks. Exnteiton isntalling will be alot better in the future.
Close firefox and open it again. Cancel all the downloads. (they are installed) Go to tools > options > web features. Click the advanced button and uncheck them all except the last one.

Then go to extentions, click 'All in One Guestures,' and press the options button.
Enable guesture trails, pick a color, and press the + button like 5 times. Set to navigate through tabs.

Now time for the 1337
Find a link on a web page. Click on it with your mouse's scroll wheel. It will open in a TAB! Wheel click a tab itself to close it. Now you can be in mutiple threads at once! Just open every link you want to go to in a second in a tab. You can also wheel click your bookmarks to open them in tabs.

You can make your homepage a set of tabs. Just go to the sites in tabs, then go to tools > options > general and click 'Use current pages.'
See a banner ad? Just right click > block images from ads.whatever.etc Refresh and it will be gone forever!

Want to get an images url? Just right click > copy image location. That's it, it's ready for pasting. None of that properties crap.

Hold your right mouse button. Drag strait up about an inch. A line should draw. Let go, a new tab!

Drag left to go back a page, right to go foward, down to open a new window, L and backwards L to minimize and close the window. Soon, you will use mouse guestures without even knowing it! Also, if you have a bunch of tabs open, just hold your right clicker and scroll to switch through the tabs automatically.
You will have to install Flash, (http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/flash/english/win95nt/7.0.19.0/flashplayer7installer.exe) Java, (http://java.sun.com/update/1.4.2/j2re-1_4_2_04-windows-i586.xpi) quick time, etc again. I think you all can figure out the rest.
