The game is Afrika with a k. There's two different games, Africa with a C is an mmo, the Afrika with a k is a safari sim(?).

its Afrika with a 'K' in that list but maybe Magic box has misspelled it. you could be right... realigning my excitement meter...

No, I am right. I was just commenting because the title of the thread is clearly talking about Afrika with a 'k'. They are two distinct games with those spellings.
The title might change, it's a working title anyway. I'm just being a stickler for detail, since there is, granted, a distinction.

some think the game might be boring.....but if you watch one of the last trailer they released (with the guy in the Jeep) there is a scene with the rhino going about his business until he notices (I’m presuming someone you control) and he starts charging him then stops and then charges again.....
I think it would really be fun to just get off the Jeep and walk up to all different animals and see if you can escape as soon as they get pissed at you (ex. Lions, cheetah...lol..) I'm talking about 3rd person mode running for your life scenario.....
Also situations where you try to jump on a Zebra and try to ride him, with Real world physics and natural AI of how a Zebra would try to knock you off his back......and of course you using the Sixaxis to try to balance yourself on the Animal...... god I wish the would be a mode like this.....just being able to try to jump on various animals and trying to ride them........and seeing the consequences of your attempts......more better....ONLINE....lol....with others trying to do the same thing.....I think it would be a funny scene...ok I'm saying to much......can't wait for the game either way...

i'm in agreement with you fella. that rhino made me think in exactly the same way. it would be great if you could pause the screen and get info on the different animals, or capture them to put in a virtual zoo. perhaps in an updated game you will be able to collect creatures from various games and put them in relative environments. i would love to sit back in an arm chair and just stroll around a prehistoric landscape with dinosaurs roaming around, or push myself through the undergrowth of the amazon in search of lost tribes.

to be honest with you.....I wouldn't be surprised if they use this Powerful looking graphics engine to create a Jurassic Park looking game.....
as far as capturing any animals I don't think they will allow that because of the direction this game is geared to as far as non-violent (even though capturing a virtual animal would not seem violent)

yes, i see where your coming from with the none violent angle. this would be a brilliant way to educate youngsters about preservation and the effects of global warming, especially if it has changeable whether. imagine landslides, thunder, floods, earthquakes, hurricanes... Sony are you listening. do you think we're getting ahead of ourselves here? LOL... it would be neat though

When asked what Afrika is really all about, Harrison immediately answers, "Africa allows you to experience a very interesting part of the world, a safari in the plains of Africa. The gameplay is entirely non-violent. You don't kill the animals. It emphasizes the positives rather than the negatives."
