Oh god... that's so cheap.
Capitilizing on X-Box's only mega hit to sell a title that might not be all up to hype...
Nintendo Equivalent? Pick up Turok: Evolution and get a free Super Smash Brothers Soundtrack CD...

Well the game was hella-delayed from November to May and they didn't even add online play. They gotta sell it somehow, ya know?

Is this DVD supposed to give you tips on how to play Halo?
But how could it not be playable? I mean come on give the people who pre-order a taste of the game.

IGN just said
- Looks 50x better then before
- DA got tips from bungie so the same textures are in the game
- Same controls as Halo

I'm guessing its a Halo 1 demo, the Halo 2 trailer, and probably a bonus bungie interview. Halo 2 is too far off to make a playable demo right now...

^ I don't know if that is true, you can have a playable demo farily early in the development process, given it would play like crap, very buggy.
I guess they don't want people getting a bad impression of the game this early.

^^ yeah thats exactly why...people would get turned off by the demo and such, thats why developers are hesitant to release them until the product is near finished/polished.

As the case with OXM, for the most part they release demos a month or two after the game comes out......

developers have to submit the demo 4 months before the magazine hits news stands so thats probably why...oh well
