My current Car speakers are terribly inadequate. Help me choose replacements. I think I have like 4 3-inch speakers and one or two...umm..big ones.

Maybe if that Truck Guy was still on this forum he could give you a lot of help. What was his name again? "Shadow Warrior" or something? Since he's a vehicle nerd.

I've got all memphis in my truck, that was one of my top brands at my store, so Todd still carries them and I hooked myself up.

It's an 84 Supra, I forgot to check how many speakers and what size, meh. I'm gonna check out Safe & Sound (Car alarms/sound system place, really good place) and get an estimate or some shit. Plus I want to get my alarm remote.

My friend has two 10 inch woofers in the back, lit by a neon light. They kick ass. But, 3 inch subs wont give you a ton of rumble, though they will still be better than your old ones. Kenwood is good, I think.

Can someone be a car nerd? Operating on cars is too physical to be classified as a nerdish thing...

Not necessarily, I almost put this in the Geek Forum, since people can learn so much about sound equipment and other car accessories that they would be a "nerd."

I'll figure something out.

Yeah I was thinking about that, and as soon as I have money for it, I will. So yes, a new component set.

you can get a nice set for about 200.00 bucks, that includes tweeters, mids, and rears.

Everything I do to my cars I do myself, sometimed with a little help from my brothers, as they are both mechanics.

I didn't mean I hooked it up by myself (which I did, i'm an installer by blood), I meant price wise...Todd runs my old shop, so I got an awesome deal on my highs.
