this topic is like the PS2 topic of Final Fantasy XII.

But who is not going to get it and why not?

I'll definitely be getting it, but I know some people can't because they want to buy a Nintendo Wii.

I've never really been into FF. I'm sure they're great, but I ALWAYS get bored of RPGs, no matter how much I love them.

Depends on when it comes out. Also what it gets in the reviews. And if I could be bothered with it...

So far, the only FF game I've ever played was FF:CC and while I know it wasn't exactly like the rest of the series, it didn't leave me thinking that highly of FF as a whole :P

I actually was never too into FF, so I never had much interest, however this is looking to be awesome. So I'll probably get it, but not anytime soon as Christmas and Wii are coming ever so quickly.

It's kind of hard for me not to get it. The Wii is really lacking for me outside of Zelda and since I still want to play games from older systems. I'm going for ones I definately haven't played. The just leaves the DS to keep me happy.

I doubt I'll be getting the game. I want it, but I can't run out and buy every single game I want. There's just too much that I want and only so much money to buy it with and so much time to play them.

I'm using my money to buy a PS3 and Wii at launch, as most can tell that's a lot of money being spent. SO.. I asked for this game and MGS: PO for my Xmas presents, they are games I really want to play this holiday but just can't afford to buy with my own money.

It's funny how people hate Final Fantasy more it seems now that SE has returned to making games for Nintendo. You can dislike the games that's fine, but Ive seen alot of FF hate coincidently now that SE is ramping up the RPG love for Nintendo DS and Wii.

^ Im one of the biggest fans of Final Fantasy and of Square Enix, they are the best in my eyes. But even with reinvented ways to play the FF franchise (FFXII) it still seems like not enough, it's quite sad really. Ohwell FF games arent going anywhere thank goodness.

Well considering my brother wants to go halfs on my Wii with me now I have enough money to probably buy more games or buy a Xbox 360 because i played Gears of War the other day and how sweet that game was....

Too bad for you guys that won't be getting it because IMO as a FF lover and a square enix fan it is just a shame

I'll probably pick up this title after Christmas, maybe after a price-drop. It will definitely sell well, half a million at least in North America so I don't expect there to be a massive shortage. On the other hand smaller developers coming out with extremely ambituous games tend to have a limited production run so I'll be grabbing those first.

Damn this game is great. I'm having a blast and the game is so pretty (for a DS title that is). It reminds me of FF7's graphics with the blocky look of the characters. I played this game for like 4 hours today while at work and I barely scratched the surface of the game (probably because I'm a leveling up whore). Well I find it kind of difficult that IGN didn't rate it better, but maybe I'm not catching all the problems they had with it. They said the battles took a long time? Well IMO they go buy pretty quick other than the celebration at the end kinda takes a little too long, but other than that no complaints on my end. Sucks to have to level up each job, but that's apart of the game love it or hate it. Can't really make that a flaw though considering it was meant to be like that.

even though i said i wasnt going to get it, I ended up buying it anyway. This being my first FF, it kinda reminds me of a mixture of zelda/pokemon plus a storyline. Which is not a bad thing at all. I'm only 2 hours in and just got to choose jobs, and im sure it will get a lot better from here.

I played an hour into the game and it seems like it was over since it started to give me credits, but it actually was the opening. I know this is going to take me a very long time.

There would be no excuse to not have online in FFCC, since they put the worst online feature ever into FF3.

The nintendo rep gave this to me free as a gift for getting a new job .

Why the wifi settings though ? Other than that i'm only in the starting town (haven't had time to play it with all the holiday stuff goign on and the new job ) but it looks really good and shows why even the worse out of the old 2d ffs are still better than the 3d ffs
