I don't know if it's going to matter because eBay has said that they are making an effort to wipe their site free of preorders.

It's probably the guys friends bidding on it. Nobody is actually paying that much.

People are really going to feel dumb if Wii doesn't sell out as quickly as they think it will. I think there is a decent chance you will be able to wait until after the lines die down a little and still get a Wii at a local retailer on Sunday afternoon. Maybe even on Monday if you look hard enough. And everybody that has the funds and desire to get a Wii will have it by the end of the year (thanks to Nintendo making better launch plans than the competitors).

Thought I'd post it, the last 30 minutes should be interesting. Someone better buy it, I need a Wii and a new TV. Lol.

I agree that it will relatively easy to acquire during holidays, thanks to the quantity being shipped, definately moreso than PS3, but I don't think you'll be able to walk in after the lines for the first shipments, nor do I think it will be as readily available or abundant as 360s should be this year.

I looked at the bid history, and the last few bids were from an unregisted bidder.

No it wasn’t that, it was mainly bad timing by me placing my bid. It ended at 9am. I also posted it just to show everyone if you really can obtain quick riches with ebay. I guess that answer is clear now.

Also, lol, I wasn’t trying to advertise my bid to you guys. If I knew one of you people did bid on it, I would have canceled the bid because it would have been plain robbery. : ) In other words, please don't bid on it, that wasn't my goal when I posted the item on here.

I’ll post it up again later tonight and see what happens. This just sorts of proves my theory of the rags to ebay riches idea though.
