Which one should I buy. Im thinking of buying the toshiba one since it also has a built in dvd player and HDMI inputs. I'll use the HDMi input for the PS3 when I get one and component cables for a 360 im planning to get for christmas hopefully. But what are the lil things like 720P and all that. It doesnt say for either. Anyone know the highest resolution or whatever you call it for these 2 tv's are?

both have crappy native rez. they cant even do 1080i. but if i had the choice i would save up for something that atleast had a native rez of 1920x1080
something like a direct veiw CRT 1080i TV can be found under 800usd and will have way better refresh and contrast than some crappy LCD.

native rez? Whats that mean? Ok so whats the highest they can go up to? 720P? 1920x1080? What the heck is that? I dont want a big tv cuz its going in my room, its not that big. So i need a flat one like those two. Refresh and contrast? Are these tvs a waste of money?

720p only for both of them
Watch your favorite movies in widescreen format on this LCD TV featuring HD-ready digital capabilities and HD-grade 1440 x 900 pixel resolution for a quality picture display. you need at least 1920x1080 to watch 1080i/p so bascliy this TV down scales everything to 720p. same thing for the other tv

ok, i decided i'll buy this one. But the warrenty is like $150. Do i really need it. im scared htta playing games on it might effect it. Will there be any burn-in effects or does this tv not do all that mess up crap?

I honestly prefer LCD for gaming as far as that goes but much of this depends on the user perspective. With LCD you dont have geometry problems or any issues with burn in. Most LCDs on the market are supporting a good refresh and contrast rate these days so they shouldnt really be an issue. As far as 1080p your going to have to spend some money but 720p sets are becoming very affordable.
It really depends on what your preference is in the scenario and what your budget allows. But Jam is right there are advantages going CRT (the only one I dont really care for is DLP but once again that is preference).
