In Multiplayer, whenever I play as Zerg, I have this tendency to end up being rushed early by Terrans. Help!

That being said, I've been getting into the single-player campaign, and doing a lot better than I have ever, now that I don't type in "Power Overwhelming." I personally enjoy playing as the Terrans, as their Nukes are among the deadliest of weapons used right. After surviving initial rushes through use of stim-packed firebats supported by medics, I immediately research siege-tank technology to start turtling in, all while building Vultures to scout, and a Starport. Whenever I build my Science Lab, I choose the Covert Ops add-on, instead of the Physics Lab, and I prepare Ghosts for covert drops. Or, in case I need a head-on assault, I Defense-Matrix the Ghost and back him up with Medics until the nuke drops. I then Dropship Goliaths into the wreckage and set up a perimeter until I bring my tanks to bear. I then rinse and repeat.

I know that tactic...except one problem...No anti-aircraft. Also, by the time you get Reavers, the enemy most likely has siege tanks, and missile turrets set up, not to mention Com-sat sweeps.

Get fast mutas if against zerg or protoss and if against terran get zerglings fast and rush them before they can rush you.

I rush people even if they say no rush.

If you want to play a non money map, reply here and I'll play a game or 2.

Anti-Colin it's people like you who make the game not fun, thats basically saying I back-stab people every chance I get.

nothing like sending reavers in dropships supported by an arbiter in to the middle of an enemy base to wreck some havok, espeically against the zerg. With the zerg I just use the brutal effective approach of making fifty hatcheries and sending wave after wave of hydras at the enemy until they become overwhelmed unless the enemy know's how to counter that strategy (Seige tanks) I can do the same with Dragoons too except it's a lot slower.

I find it stupid to just mass up a troop and send it with attack move, I prefer strategy, like offensive bunkers/cannons while flanking.

I ussually make Defence first. Right away, then go for offence.

If I have the time, I go max wraiths.
I have one guy patrol back and forth somewhere in my base. Then I have all the other wraiths following him. When I'm ready to attack I send the leader over and then the enemies defense usually kills it, if not I just kill it. Then watch my wraiths own them...unless they got lots of valks/corsairs/zerg anit-air (forget the name)

how can you playt the zerg and get rushed? Since you arent playing no-rush, its simple. make 2 drones (plus 4 you start w/) and extra overlord, and pump out 6-9 zerglings... terran shouldnt have time to do more than build barracks and maybe 2-3 marines... protoss will barely have their gateway up, not likely to have any military..

I play as terran and protoss, so I really cannot give you a strat strategy for the zerg.

I will say this: If you are being rushed, and you are zerg, you really must relocate the order in which you build. it all depends on whom you are playing. The computer are rather easy after playing them. They become very predictable. Human players a much more interesting on Battlenet.

From a math-wise perspective, both buildings take 80 seconds to build. The Barracks only costs 150 Minerals, as opposed to the Hatchery. The Marine (and Firebat) takes 24 seconds to build. The Zergling Egg takes 28 to hatch. Plus the fact you'll be wanting to increase your workforce counts for something. You can only hatch 3 larvae per Hatchery, while Barracks and Command Center are building units at a constant rate.
