Look at this. It's a poll on who has an X-Box. Most pf the people do not have one and do not want one. I personally think it's great. Sorry for all you X-Box fans. Please don't flame me. Dont say things like "you should respect the fans of x-box." I've seen it happen a lot :(

Don't be so ignorant, both nintendo and Microsoft are playing different games, while Nintendo are Maximising profits from the sales they do get, Microsoft is creating an install base at any cost,

I would like to let you know that in Japan, X-box is barely ahead of the PSX, and in my opinion, I think that the PSX is better than x-box. Just go ahead thinking that Microsoft is better, but QUANTITY DOSENT EQUAL QUALITY.

Ok but just think, you have no argument if you are saying that X-Box isnt quality. Microsoft is selling you a system for hundreds less then they, the manufacturer, payed to build it. Nintendo is selling there 20 doller system for 150$. interesting....

Microsoft is still fixing virtually any kind of XBox for free, as some of the launch ones get errors with new games (mainly Ghost Recon). Microsoft sends people a large (obviously, heh) white box with postage already on it for them to send their system, and they get it back within two weeks, at no cost.

Well yes..Why would Microsoft screw people over like sony has for broken and faulty systems? The only reason sony did it would more than likly because they could....And If Nintendo and MS had the power..They proabably would have done just as well. I believe the price was 129.00$ for a fixing of the PS2 console. After spending some " QUALITY TIME" with sony's "Helpful" support staff..They were usually more than happy in waving the fee. Nintendo has always made quailty systems..M$ Xbox seems to be stable as well (except for some game read errors I hear about). When it come to unstablility...Sony's line reigns supream.

I've seen the XBOX and I wasn't impressed. It has a few decent games but none that I wanted to play that I couldn't get on my computer. They also looked a hella alot better on the computer. Controllers for PC games seem to hurt the game play as well. Some games its cool with like Halo, which I must admit is a damn fine game(my gaming experience with xbox is limited I'll admit that). The two systems as far as quality products that I've been impressed with were the PS2 and the Game cube. They have good games and alot of potential due to third party software developers. Microsoft may have enough money to buy enough developers to have a decent system but Im still gonna pass. Im not knocking anyone who likes it its just not a system for me.

Its funny how Nintendo gives out the longer warranty but yet they break the least of any system unlike X-box, don't get me wrong i love the console a little bit, but they break all the fricken time. my bro had one but it broke sure it don't cost nothing to get a new one but they've been waiting about a month to get it. I'm glad i got a console(GCN) that i can count on.

Uh............. read some of the topics in the GCN forum, quite a few people have been having problems with their systems. I've had my XBox since June, not a problem at all. I just played it about an hour ago, too.

Europe (1) PS2 (..) Xbox (..) Cube Xbox, Cube I think xbox but need sales figures but by the way the news has been flowing about poor cube sales and my teritory Aust xbox is kicken.

Jap (1) PS2 (2) Cube (3) Xbox Cube outsells the xbox by around 5000 units every week, the sales that cube does beat the xbox in over in Jap land are most probably made up else where... eg Australia

How is the Cube Second, i thought the total sales world wide of the xbox were in the 15 Million Area with the Cube just over 10 million some one with proof of Cube in 2nd show ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Xbox leads everywhere but Japan. The Japan gap has been closed thanks to their lead in other regions, and they're now ahead by like 300,000 - 400,000 if you include regions that GCN hasn't launched in yet or has yet to pick up in.

First of all i would not trust these numbers with you, second of all,ELSPA report has highlighted the growing nature of the games industry and the console and game sales since the next-generation consoles were released worldwide.
They list Sony as having 74 per cent of the market share, followed by Nintendo on 14 per cent and Microsoft last at 12 per cent. This is great news for all Nintendo fans as the absolute error of this report would have a very minimal impact, due to the massive sales on the percentage scores, therefore these are very reliable figures! 3rd of all you say you dont care about numbers then you say you do, you are a bit of a hypocrit

ELSPA doesn't do world wide numbers :) if anything it was analyzing the future.

Heres some numbers

Japan:
GameCube 1,960,411
Xbox 327,699

GCN's Lead: 1,632,712

Last Europe Numbers
Xbox - 1.8 million
GCN - 1.4 million

Since GCN hasn't managed to outsell Xbox *excluding last week, and it was only 3,000* Xbox made the gap even larger then that, but lets keep the 400,000 lead.

GCN's Lead: 1,232,712

Australia
Xbox - 250,000 or so
GCN - 45,000 or so

GCN's Lead: 1,027,712

USA

XBOX: 4,765,000
GCN: 3,664,000

Now this is the interesting part. Xbox leads by 1,101,000 in America.

GCN's Lead: -73,288

Then you add the regions that Xbox launched in and GCN didn't, add the updated numbers from Europe, etc. it shows that Xbox is ahead even if its by a little amount.

ELSPA doesn't post worldwide numbers. I'm going on Famitsu for Japanese numbers, charttrack for Europe, and NPD for USA, and Inform for Australia. You should know that if you knew sales...it sounds like you don't.

You do know that most sales figures are pay services and you can't post links to them, right? You can do the searching for yourself if you would like to. The Japan sales are from IGN's gaming life in Japan, the USA sales are from NPD which i posted here in another thread, the Australian sales are from Inform which you can find on xbox.com.au or whatever (was a press release), and the Europe numbers can be googled up - 1.4 and 1.8 million = 400,000 difference.

ELSPA only does UK numbers. These are numbers from every sales source i'm not pulling these out of my ass for your information.

I won't comment on elspa until i know a bit more about the sales but i will say it is a bit wierd that they are posted on a american site if they are just uk numbers. On you not liking the ps2 you seem very quick to jump on gcn rather than the ps2. And Although i look at the numbers right now they really wont matter till the next systems.

So it is not American it has to be somewhere, nintensity is a american site, and in the elspa, list Sony as having 74 per cent of the market share, followed by Nintendo on 14 per cent and Microsoft last at 12 per cent which matches many charts i have seen listed for world wide. you can say you counted up the sales all you whant but i have seen these precentages more than once, maybe there talking about a year or a mounth or a day of sales. Relook and if it still doesn't make sense go to a non-xbm and non gcn site and look at there sales charts.

The thing is they DON'T do world wide numbers. Like i said educate on the matter first, your just pulling info out of your ass.

Nobodys going to go to Japan, USA, Europe, Australia, all around the world to do sales numbers. And even if they did, by then the sales numbers would be very old anyway. Thats why different parties report different sales.

Maybe you don't read, I have seen many world numbers looking like that recheck your sources. i think you only go onto xbx sites making your opinion only influenced by one side of the story. And also just to prove a point. If i am a artist i can still kick a ball, you can say they don't do world wide numbers, but they probally can and did it would be very easy to go to the other number checkers and get info from them. read the story agian dumbass. :asshole:
