Still though...why don't they just release a remake, its obviously the biggest fan request ever! It will sell well....the demand is always there...the PS3 is out...What the hell SE?

Fan request or not; they're already devoting a lot of their time on Final Fantasy XIII for the PS3.
It's just a matter of time before a remake becomes reality. So I guess all we have to do is wait.

This game might close the 4-6 million sales gap between the PSP and DS(22.6 million vs 26.8 million).

Mind you beenie that PSP's software is no where in the same league as DS. And that Sony has shipped more units of PSP than they've actually sold. I think the margin is a bit bigger than a few million, but yeah..PSP is definitely here to stay...

We expect each Final Fantasy to top the previous one, so true fans aren't expecting the next Final Fantasy until 2008 at the earliest.

Man does it look like I give fuck about the league shit though the DS Lite has the magical Nintendo inhouse games GBA supporters from last gen.:quagmire:
We really don't know the actual gap until we have dead to accurate sale figures for this month. I don't really care if the PSP is 5-20 million behind the DS because it still interests me. Sony just needs more system selling games in bigger quantity.
P.S: I have a black DS Lite too(cough*cousin doen't know I have it). Pretty cool too with its little touch screen.:pleased:

They've made the Next-gen engine (callled "White Engine") as a base for all their PS3 projects. FFXIII and FF Versus XIII are done they still have a middleware engine and a ton of useable CG assets from FF7 and the Advent Children film. Thing is, FFvXIII will be out in 2009 at the earliest; so FF7 remake won't be out until 2010 best case scenario.

This game and Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops will be big system sellers, but the problem is there aren't any games I'm slightly interested beyond this game and Metal Gear. That's pretty sad for their launch list. I still love my PSP though.

I don't think they've even completed the White Engine. On top of that, they're supposedly going to be tweaking the engine even further for the release of Final Fantasy Versus XIII. They still have plenty of work on their hands.
We haven't even gotten into Kingdom Hearts yet, which is probably going to be lead by Tetsuya Nomura.

Well thats me sold, finally some ingame footage of it and I am making damn sure I get a new PSP with FFVII:CC now. My black ones meeting the end of its days, whens the release date for FFVII:CC estimated to be? Plus they will need to dub it all and translate all the ingame text. Could be a while before we see it to be honest :(
I wish someone could translate the trailer...
