Now that the software is out there, it's only a matter of time before we'll be capturing video on our PS3s. In fact, it may already be available. I didn't try to look for any apps that have been written with this SDK. So, we know PS3 has 4 USB 2.0 ports, and it can take a USB external HDD, so plug this sucker in and have the world's coolest TiVo. It'll probably be a little while before we're capturing HD video though.

In the trash goes my TiVo, VCR and DVD player. well, not really. I'll give it to the needy. If the PS3 only had a surround amp built into it, it would be the only thing in my entertainment center except the TV.

ethically, linux is the most polite os ever written. lets hope ps3 creates a legend for linux; otherwise, atlease being concurrent.

very much so. just not from a language stand point. There is more vulgar language in the kernel than you could poke a stick at.
