How old is that interview? I thought God of War 3 was slated for at Q1 2007 release? But I would love to have this last dandy on the PS2 before MGS4 hits.

The combat system is really easy and pick-up and play. I GOW3 will even further this with motion control-can't wait to see what Heavenly Sword guys do with it.
Finally a developer that's interested in Wii and PS3 and is genuinely excited about motion control! I'm happy he says that many developers are eager to play with it as well...

EDIT: ROFL, I just watched the interview! GOW3 is so early in development that they don't have the green light yet, but I'm sure they will as soon as GOW2 is out. And now that I think about it, GOW2 will be out in a couple of months!

I never knew that Jaffe had such a character. Oh well, screw FFIII and FFXII for now, I'm using much of my budget to acquire God of Wars and God of Wars II. If he's behind it, the game has to be good. :)

I thought is was funny how David Jaffe basically blew off Sony's marketing guy Jeff Reese by saying "I have no idea what you just said". Then Jeff couldn't even get another word in edgewise for the rest of the interview. Poor guy.

First off, God of War 3 is a title I am greatly anticipation for the PS3. As a next-gen platformer, I can only imagine the possibilities. But right now my wait is God of War 2. Part one was brilliantly awesome and completely surpassed my expectations when i first saw it.
On another topic, why do I feel Itagaki would have worded that interview differently? :shifty:

Nothing about this game is set yet, He did say that if GOW2 goes well (which I hope it does love'd GOW) then they might (if Sony gives them money !!!!) then it might happen.. But you've got to love David he just speaks his mind (drunk or not !!!!)

It really is one of the games I can refer to when someone asks "So why do you like your PS2 so much?" and the game itself is as kick-ass as the PlayStation brand.
Only if a retarded fish takes over Sony will we not see a God Of War title on the PS3.
