In order to bring the hype up for the much deserved sequal, I decided to make this thread.

My favorite part in the game would be when you are in the facility in Phendera Drifts(where you get thermal vision...etc). That part was so great and intense. I loved how it got dark and you had to use the thermal vision. I also enjoyed going through Phanzon mines? I loved the beginning too. That was pretty intense the first time through. I have only beaten this game once, and its hard for me to get the time to beat it again on hard. But man it was a great game, and IMO, the best game of this generation of consoles.

What about you guys?

I hated the chozo ghosts (you have to agree).

When you step out of the Phendera Shore and into the giant snowfield, and then the camera pulls back and gives you a panorama of the entire, massive area. Awesome moment, and my favorite.

I'm not sure if I can decide between several events, most named above, but beginning to end was just spectacular gaming.

Don't forget the opening title screen. Chills each time that song comes on.

I still need to beat the damn end boss. I always get to the end and stop playing (OoT, WW, MP, Mario Sunshine) My favorite part was playing the game for the first time at my local videogame store before I read any info about it. The very beginning of the game was like whoa.

I liked the whole game. It was an excellent transformation of 2D to 3D. The game kept the aspects that made the franchise so popular, and built on them.

I think my favorite part of the game is the music. It really sets a scary lonely felling that fits the game so well.

I'll say my favorite (I've said it before).
When you are on a balcony above a bunch of Space Pirates, (it might be the Phazon Mines) and they don't know you're there, but you release a swarm of Metroids onto the unsuspecting Space Pirates.

I loved the whole game, and especially the attention to detail evident throughout. I can't pick just one location or moment that stood out to me the most, but I can pick a tune: the one that returns from Lower Norfair in Super Metroid. That track owned, and I always had a bad tendancy to crank the volume up a few notches whenever I get to it.

The chozo ghosts. At first I hated them, but when I got better, they were so cool.

I will also have to say the beauty of Phendrana Drifts.

I liked fighting Ridley, fighting MP(1st and 2nd), And I loved the music. Yes the music for Metroid games is ALWAYS awsome. That is the thing they need to keep for MP2, the music.btw, does anyone have Ideas for witch planet MP2 should be on?

You serious? I hate those things.
They appear every time you enter one of the about 7 rooms they are in.
They hit constantly.
They take forever to get rid of.
They make it so dark that you won't be able to avoid them and move on.
The music is incredibly pissoff-style.

When the first time you see a metroid attack a space Pirate, I was like "Whoa..."

I always loved the music, too, among other things, but I also loved the detail that went into bringing the environments to life from Super Metroid on through to today. I don't think they should recycle the music, though. Bringing a little familiar music back is fine, but we need fresh new (but awesome) tunes to keep things from feeling old, but also to give new areas their own unique ambiance since the music adds to mood and atmosphere of their respective locations.

Well, we know it can't be Zebes, since the games insist that the original Metroid (and the recent remake) mission was her first adventure there, so it will have to be elsewhere. Perhaps she'll end up returning to Tallon IV, or maybe to yet another planet in the solar system, or even to some man-made location like a large ship or space station (though I'd prefer a planet). I don't expect her to head to SR 388, though.

Well I am geussing that you will go to one of the planets that was on display in that room in Phehandra drifts.
