I won a free copy of Untold Legends recently, and just got the chance to play today. I have to say, this game is FANTASTIC. It definitely does not deserve the scores it got. I find the game to be extremely visually pleasing, from the subtle particle effects, to the beautiful textures and colors in the game. Everything looks so real and detailed, from the cracked ground to the detailed trees, it's fantastic! The sound score is WONDERFUL, one of the best I've ever heard in a game before. There are all sorts of little touches that I like, but the thing that put me over the top is that every item changes the appearance of your character, one of my favorite things that a game can do. The characters are all extremely detailed and look really clean and attractive.
The gameplay is much like any other hack and slash, like champions of norrath, so there isn't much new here. If you like that type of game, you'll enjoy this game as well.
This game should easily have gotten a 7.5-8. I am only about 20 minutes in, but I'm really enjoying myself and I keep stopping to admire the beautiful world. If you're looking for a game for your PS3 right now, I highly highly recommend this one.

I finally played it. My friend also owns a ps3 next door, go figure... So we played it together then we played Champions of Norrath (the sequal) I never opened it or gotten around to it. After we started playing that we forgot about Untold Legends.
I think if you compared them both side by side with a buddy, you'd understand why they were rated so low.

Yeah me 2, the graphics is cool. Call of Duty 3 is nice lol. Resistance too difficult to aim :/ should have support for mouse.

The game is not nearly as bad as some are making it out to be (online is fun as hell), but I can't say that the complaints about the camera are exaggerated, lol.

Resistance too difficult to aim
But that will not likely happen for 99% of PS3 games. The mouse users would have a completely unfair advantage which would turn people off.

I'm tempted to get it, as I pretty much just like the feel of the sixaxis in my hands and will prety much play anything, no matter how bad, but I should finish Marvel UT and Genji 2 first.

is it online? if so... how is it to play online?

I keep hearing this argument, but I don't buy it. As for turning people off, I won't buy FPS games for my PS3 because the control scheme is too unwieldy. I find it hard to justify tying peoples' hands behind their backs in order to make it 'even.'
My vote would be that game makers give the options and let people choose the method of control with which they are most comfortable. USB keyboards and mice are cheap - it's not a burden to let people use them. No FPS game maker will get my $$$ without it.

no, because then they have to completely rebalance the game's interface and controls so mouse and keyboard users don't have an unfair advantage/disadvantage.
