Its a glitch in the game that has been up since day one. The fix is on the japanese store now with a full download of the game already patched. [Yes its a full download ]

in that case, someone should report this to Polyphony or Sony. I think they should already know since the demo just came out and there would be a lot of checking and re-checking. maybe they are working on it. and they should disqualify those who used those cut-off time records.

speaking of feedback, I think it would be great to have a feedback option on PS3 games. they could put them in the menus for example. users can use this option for any feedback they want the dev/publisher to hear from simple 'thank you' to detailed bug reports.

they can make an automatic word filter to discard any word containing numbers, more than one exclamation and non-dictionary words. that'll solve all of the "idiot" fake posts. ;)
