Thanks for the link, I am hoping others will now install Linux on their ps3, if we get enough users with a bit of experience i will unveil my wiki which will hopefullly become a repository of info for these great forums.

oh great after i download 4 v4.1 cds last night.... just about to burn em too...

Poop, something i should tell you, before you burn them make sure you burn as an image, for example: in Nero there is an option to "burn image to disk". This is very different to simply burning the files to a disk as a data cd/dvd. And allows it to be bootable.

This thing is 3.3 gigabytes. That means it goes on a DVD. Hope I can figure out the "right" way to do it. It also means it is the slowest download EVER. It's been 24 hours and counting, and I'm 60% done. Should be able to install it this weekend some time... lol

What cd/dvd burning app do you use? it should be an option somewhere, most apps let you burn an image file, just look out for anything that says "image" or "iso".
