HELP!!! remote play problems

I've properly matched all the settings on my psp to my 60 gig ps3, and yet the psp wont pick up the ps3, even though I'm sitting right next to it. Do I need a wireless router for it to work? I'm puzzled. When I choose remote play on the ps3, it just tells me to adjust my settings. I don't get it.

You definately don't require a wireless router. I guess you are aware of this, but are you using the very latest PS3 and PSP firmware versions?

Never mind. I reset the fields and entered the settings again. Works fine. Sophisticated electronics can be glitchy sometimes. I do have the latest firmware upgrades by the way.
