Looks like ms and nintendo had a good month and psp wow .

Disapointing on ps3 sales . Perhaps the price of the 360 and ps3 really are big barriers . With news storys every day of the avaliblity of ps3s and that they are becoming easier and easier to get.

Hopefully these companys learn this lesson for next time and introduce more affordable consoles

well its cheap and has a ton of cheap games. Great gifts for people.

Sadly i think 2007 is when the ps2 drops as its release list is pretty slim esp exclusive wise

Maybe amazing to us, but like gljvd says, it's dirt-cheap and has an enormous library. There's a whole market of people out there who never got one, either because they had a different system or they didn't have any system. The super-casual market.

Right look at it this way.

ps2

130$
Controller 30$
Memory card 15$

So for 175$ you get a system for two players.

That leaves you with $225 for great games that came out over the course of the ps2s life time. Games like god of war (20$ ) the older ffs and what not (was never a big ps fan) compared to the base price of the 360.
Or 325$ compared to the base ps3 (425$ to the premium ps3)

That is alot of moneyt for alot of people

well yea on two platforms .


Gears was the best selling single platform game and zelda was the best selling multi platform title out there.

Not bad for gears considering there were only 4.5m systems through december according to this and zelda had much more than that

Shit Gears of War is still selling better then I thought. It really deserves those sales because its still my favorite game.

I am surprised taht the 360 wireless remote is the top accessories sales. I think the Wiimote would have been if they had enough for everyone though.
