damn! I haven't read anything, and I don't have to. this game is worth getting a PS2 just for it. it is definitly one of this generations gems in many regards.
I'll be getting this as soon as it hits. every gamer should at least give it a try.

I never bought GoW. I know it's a great game, but neither me or my brother are much fans of uber violent games, in that way it's a turn off for me. I'm sure it plays pretty awesome though and looks really awesome just looking at all the ratings it gets.

For how much this game is talked about, I was suprised it only sold just over 1.6 million copies internationally.

I am shaking just waiting in anticipation. I always thought the GoW Series could be the greatest of all time. The first one was near perfection (greatest first level ever), and this one looks to top it substantially.

It sucks it's not coming out till mid March, it was supposed to come out in Feb.

I think the reason I'm able to play God of War/Devil May Cry and stuff like that is because the combat system is so deep and Kratos actually levels up through his weapons and progress in the game. The cursing and stereotypes in GTA bother me more than the mindless violence, but God of War's is indeed over-the-top. Maybe it's because your killer monsters and stuff that it feels less realistic and easier to approach.

The storyline drives God of War..and however over-the-top it may be, it's actually a very good one...

Funny, as the first 30 min. of God of War is some of the most intense of the game! I'm fairly certain it will pass the "First 30 minutes" test.

If God of War 2 is any indication, the series may be setting a new trend in video games where the games start off hella intense, pulling you in immediately, instead of gradually intensifying towards the middle and end. Many games claim it, but God of War literally grabs hold of you from the very beginning, shakes you violently and does not let go. Part 2 is looking to continue that trend while upping the ante. Here's to the PS3 version!

Yeah Nights you'll probably be hooked on the game once you actually start it.

GoW doesn't take an eternity to beat either so it shouldn't distract you from other games.

Same here, the amount of blood and cussing in GeoW was completely unnesisary and a complete turn-up for me. And that is one of the reason I have never played GoW (these names are to similar to be using acronyms really...).

I'm a huge action fan and love my blood and gore, but Manhunt left a sick feeling in my stomach.

What makes you say that? I haven't seen anything to lead me to believe GoW2 will have little to no puzzle solving.

I don't think many people realize how much puzzle solving was involved in GoW. The whole temple of Pandora was a giant puzzle, but it was so well woven into the gameplay that you could hardly notice. None of the puzzles were traditional either, even many of the action sequences were puzzle like in nature.

This is what makes GoW so great. Every aspect of the game works in harmony and never breaks from the flow of the gameplay.

I think one of the team memebers for GoW2 early on said something about GoW3 being on PS3. it was part of a reply about why GoW2 wasn't made for PS3.
there may not be official word on GoW3, but it is a given.

Yeah, God those graphics rival next gen! I had NOOOOOOO idea the PS2 was capable of that. It even out beats GT4 on the graphics. This is probably the PS2's greatest game graphical wise and probably the best action adventure game ever made. I'd say it's even better then DMC3. How much is the game btw? Last time I checked it was $40. FUCK! It's $50 I just checked....damn looks like I'ma have to save up faster!

But I didnt like the original, I rented it and took it back the very same day I just didnt like this game for some reason, even when I played friends far files. It wasnt a good game for me... but I'll try this one regardless. Hopefully it wont suck! Since I think the first one sucked for me.

Shadow the first one NEVER sucked just because you couldn't get into it doesn't mean it sucked. If games are good they are good regardless of whether you can get into them or not. I can't get into any Nintendo games and I don't think they suck they are damn good. GoW was the best action adventure game to grace the PS2 in this last gen of gaming.

If I dislike a game its not cause its good, awesome, enjoyable... its cause for me it sucked. Regardless of Joe, Nancy, Smith, Michael Jordan liking it. Well, people have thier own opinions of things. Like me, i'd say GOW is probably the best PS2 game to date. Well done storyline, great character development, addictive gameplay.

But then again.....im a hard person to please game-wise. I loved Half-Life 2, GOW, MGS2, Burnout 3, Halo's multiplayer modes (not single player story), Ratchet and Clank: Up your arsenal...just to name a few

There are alot of games out there that just doesnt catch me like how GOW did. I just love a game to have everything, and GOW has everything. So, more likely you rather have a game with crappy storyline and action from beginning to end.

So, i'm not saying you didnt like the game. I just think you didnt give it a chance cuz you heard it was a be all end all game and you wanted to prove everyone wrong.
