...is none other than David Beckham! Surprised myself to only a certain extent, Beckham has officially signed to the MLS team for five years. Part of it as attempt to increase the importance of Soccer as a major sport in the US.

Frankly, I'm excited.

Was always going to happen for the reason below

1 - He has his soccer schools there so it's convenient
2 - The money he's getting is CRAZZZZY
3 - His wife loves publicity what better publicity than Hollywood?
4 - Some of His best friends (tom cruise ect) live near
5 - Thought id of loved to see him return to england i don't think anyone wanted him

But that aside its a great signing and a loss to Madrid imo yeah he aint as good as he used to be but he's still as class player, easily the best player in dead ball situations imo

VERDICT - great move for him $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

OK, then it was £128 million rather than $128 million.

And he says he's not in it for the money ¬_¬

To be honest he has more than enough money already, he's more into the fame he will get out of it rather than the money imo

He's being offered that much because he's close friends with the owners of the LA Galaxy, which is the primary reason, but he's also got a line of shirts/shoes that he wants to promote, and nowhere better than LA.
