Just saw their game of the year podcast.

Who do you think won?

Gears of War right? Just like gamespot.

They'd never give it to a game with a really strong art style, innovative gameplay and control, and one that will last you a good couple of weeks.

IGN is the most fair site online and probably anywhere and they give it to hella deserving games. I'd say between Gears, Zelda, and Okami (or even God of War) it was a toss up.

Yeah, I'd say it was either Zelda TP, Okami, or FF12, screw Oblivion. Okami on reflection as it was the freshest.

The kinda mean guy on the video podcast had Gears down. Gears arrived, it was awesome, then it dissappeared and you went back to playing Zelda or whatever,all in around 4 days, then it sat on your shelf. Games of the year aren't like that, they stick around for weeks.

I don't know what that guy was talking about with Gears, my friends and I are still playing it every night. Zelda hasn't been touched since I've beaten it.

Will Okami ever be released in Europe?

i would not say it's worthy of the title.

I personally think Okami is a bit overrated from what I've played. It's a little over-stylized and the gameplay isn't anything groundbreaking. I can see how it could win, but I think it's stupid how some of the editors put down Zelda as a disappointment when they haven't even played the game. Matt and Peer from IGN were extremely pissed about that, actually.
