Probably already a thread on this but....
Just watched saw III and thought i don't think it was as good as I and II it's still an amazing movie im now already DESPERATE to see saw IIII to find out what happens next, i love how as each film goes by you learn more about the last well in this case both the first two, didnt like the storyline to this one as much but the killings were alot more gruesome, whoever wrote these movies is OFFICIALLY a genius!
ROLL ON SAW IIII

Agreed, the plot twists at the end are fucking awesome, but other than that, the first two movies were just okay. I haven't seen III yet, and I was of the understanding that the writer intended for this to be a trilogy.

I liked Saw III. It was better than Saw II.
How can they make a fourth film if...
...whatshisname died? That would be such a crap movie.
They should leave it as a trilogy.

I hope they stop there. In all honesty I think they should have stopped at the first one. The first one is awesome, and now it feels cheap with the 2 sequels.
I think that this series is lame.

They cant leave it as a trilogy because of the way III ends
Yeah the guy dies but he plays that video saying he has the dudes daughter plus you don't know if he saves his wife
And for that reason above they HAD to make a forth otherwise the ending would make no sense

Yeah, but...
..how the hell is that guy going to find his daughter? The psycho woman is dead and the jigsaw guy is dead. The ending makes perfect sense. The fact that whatshisname hid that guy's daughter implies that his daugher is going to die, probably of thirst. That's what I wanted to be true, anyway.
Fourth movie's going to be shit.

Hmm i see what your saying but...
I find it hard to believe they could possibly end it like that, for all we know someone else could be in on it (which is probably going to be the case), maybe his daughter isn't really missing, i can see a HUGE twist in the forth, but i see what you mean about the two main characters now being dead

No guys you are both wrong. See what happens is...
LOL
These movies are only good because of the imaginative deaths, the rest of the stuff is too...'MTV'.
"hey dude trust me!"
"umm dude how about like....NO!"
i saw(pun intended) the first one and it was complete ass, got roped into watching the second
let me just say i wont be falling for that old trick again, there are so many other great "scary" films to watch, like when i was tricked into watching Hostel...the storyline had potential, it could have been a dark film with more graphic torturing, instead it was softcore goth porn
and Final Destination is for imaginative deaths...sure they're farfetched but the ladder through the face in the second? twas brilliant

Heeeeeell naaaaaaaaah!
In Final Destination someone always gets crushed or split open. *YAWN*
In 'Saw' there are games to play which involve doing something violent to stop something violent happening while in a violent room.
And 'Saw 2' was like the playhouse of death which was very nice.
yeah but, Saw requires you to have to actually sit through the film
im pretty sure the FD2 dvd has a skip to death feature

Alot of people imo disliked saw because it made them think, and as crow said u have to watch it all as you generally dont find out whats going on until the end.
I love the saw movies anyway

I absolutely loved the first one, it was pretty well done for a low budget film, but then they rushed the hell out of the sequels and made them shitty. Yeah, they're good for the gore, but the sequels were far from what the first one pulled off.
The second one's ending was pretty good, better than the rest of the film, but the third's ending was sloppiest shit I've ever seen. "You just watched a big game of cat and mouse, but he wasn't important, it's that lady, but wait, it's not really her, it's you, and i'm almost dead with cancer and stuff."
Jigsaw had a reason for the people in the first two movies, but honestly, the victims in the third?
The black guy gets fucking owned in the hardest way imaginable because some guy can't get over his kid getting hit? Pretty fucking lame.
I was hoping Saw III to go back on track to be like the first, but it went in a different direction, was very disappointed.
Ninja edit: Saw IV- It's True :( (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0890870/)
unfortunately its not just mindless violence which i was really expecting, i love gory films, and i also love films that make you think...sometimes they shouldn't be mixed
and considering the scenes....1.2million was ample

Wernt all the victims in the third related to:
They were all involved in that dude's son being killed and the whole idea of the game was for him to save and forgive them or kill and get revenge on them one of them was the judge who convicted the killer and other was the woman who witnessed it, and jigsaw was also involved, they pretty much ALL linked to his sons death that was his reasons for them being involved/killed

I know WHY they were there, but it was a pretty fucking weak connection. The black guy suffered, then he died, even if....
The black guy suffered, then he died, even if the main guy wanted to save him....
Some people say the writing is really bad for all of the movies, but the first showed a lot of potential, but the 2nd and 3rd only delivered gore.

I agree the 3rd wasnt amazingly scripted but i still thought it was good enough, not as good as the 1st or 2nd but good

The movie was too damn long! I usually like long movies, ie LOTR, King Kong. But for a movie like this, thought it kinda dragged on.

I saw the first and the third, nothing special. A lot of gore. The third one gave me a god damn headache with all the flashing camera movement and crap.

That's called the 'MTV cam'.
It's very cool to keep the camera constantly moving and to give seizure to the viewer since our generation is all extr3m3 and shit, we like that shit dawg. You heard?! :smoke:

LOTR was pretty ass to make 3 films of

Saws would have been a lot better if all the characters except the villain weren't total morons
