I was rummaging through my home office today and i found this piece of Sony history. It is a Sony PocketStation, I remember using it with a FF game and at a certain point in the game you could download a mini chocobo game and play it on the PocketStation. Other games were also compatible, but only the japanese versions to my knowledge. I'm not sure if it worked with the PS2, but i know it worked with the original PS.

I believe this was only sold in Japan. It is also memory card.

Anyhow thought i would share with fellow Sony fans as a bit of nostalgia.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, there wasnt a "Sony General" section.

There used to be a general sony forum, but it got closed due to redundancy and lack of interest.

I'm not sure where to put this, as there's not PS1 forum, I guess I'll put it in General Gaming for the time being.

On a side note I've got one of those things. Waste of money IMO, if they had made it bigger than 128KB say a couple of MB it would've been better.

There should only be 1 sony forum the ps3 forum . Since the ps3 forum is backwards compatible with the ps2 and ps1 forums :-)

anyway that thing looks cool its like a stand alone vmu unit

I remember having a passing interest in that back in the, but since it was never released in Europe there was little point in it. Still, as far as I can remember it fetches a pretty penny on a Ebay.

In response to your message, Sephiroth. According to wikipedia it is only FFVIII, the reward for using it was more friendship (I think) items, pretty useless in my opinion, but hey.....
