OK so I took the plunge today

I bought an Onyx DS Lite at my local Wal Mart. Last one in stock....I think the last one in the state. It was kinda an impulse buy, but I got caught in the moment and did it.

I have owned Gameboys from the first monochrome behemoth with the smeary lcd screen and ate batteries like it was going out of style then to the Pocket, Color, GBA (broke out my soldering gun and modified it with the a screen light even), then finally the SP.

Then came the PSP. I thought I was done with the "kiddie games" Nintendo creates.

Well, so, I have been a PSP owner since its release day a couple of years ago. I am sad that I stuck with it for so long. I was never really unhappy with it, but never happy with it either. It just was lacking something. The games were uninspired ports. The UMD accessing all the time drove me nuts. The price of the PSP games were outrageous.

So I decided to jump in and try out the DS. Picked up New Super Mario and Elite Beat Agents. After a few hours of playing...I am in love again.

I can't believe I was "out" for so long. This system is fantastic. It IS all about the games.

Anyway, just wanted to say I'm back in the Nintendo groove. I can't believe it has been so long since I left. I am sorry I had. So you might see me poking around here from time to time.

Indeed join the collective... we are like slightly less creepy borg. Find a person with a bunch of games and borrow them to see what ya like. I do that for folks all the time and it helps them decide what to drop some cash on.

At this point in the systems life span the bargin bin at places like Toys R Us is most likely full of decent cheap games. Like i got Trace Memory for 10$ which being a great abeit short game is worth it.
And i got a Navy Blue so im better.

^I wish teh Toys R Us down here had bargain bins. They have slightly cheaper prices from the start (by about $5 on average), but the games never come down - I can still get a copy of Another Code (local name for Trace Memory) from there for $68.95. Arseholes.

Damn... sorry that kinda sucks alot. Well hey do the online shop thing, Ebgames.com doesnt quite have the walk in and grab impulse thing but alot of their older DS games end up being far lower then what you just said taking into account the currency diffrence.

But its still a option for ya just be ready to grab a few at once and the shipping costs wont crush you.
Also being a diffrent region wont matter seeing it plays any ds game from any place.

Be smart about stuff and look around for good prices you never know where you will find a gem.

It's no real biggie. Just a major point of annoyance, always having to pay too much or go without.
