This version of GTHD is newer or older than the american version? If its older, then Sony took it out from american version...

this is newer i believe, the American Playstation Store only has v. 1.1 for GTHD, which i've yet to download.

Well as long as steering wheels rumble I guess that's all we need. Still though, there needs to be some type of 3rd party arrangement for FPS...
Or Sony just needs to release an modified SixAxis altogether.

Give them a chance. Something tells me we'll see at the minimum some third party controllers with rumble built in.

but if it's only 3rd party supporting it...the Devs still won't put rumble tech in their games as most ppl will have 1st party controllers...

Then why is there already force feedback in PS3 games even though no 1st party controllers support it?

Didn't we just go over a discussion in some other thread (which escapes me atm) about how Sony WASN'T supporting force feedback?

UGHhhh... FF on the DFP (logictechs GT wheel) is not rumble. it actualy produces "roadfeel" a neccicary imput to driving near the edge of a cars envelope.
Those who are track junkies understand the importace of FF in GT. without it you mine as well be playing PGR3

I just read the rest of the post in the thread
FORCE FEED BACK IS NOT THE SAME AS RUMBLE! I have covered this to many times. you all need to take a 3day introductery course at S.B.R.S. http://www.skipbarber.com/racing_school/racing_school.aspx then find someone with a 900 degree DFP and use it with GT4 before you go off saying its just rumble.

Thanks, Jax, saved me a long post there.
Force feedback is a broad term but in this instance, it is not referring to the controversial rumble that was removed from the PS3 (or never added to begin with) but with a form of tension on the steering wheel to give a more accurate feel of the road.

I'm still pretty sure we talked about that in the other thread too (man I need to find that. It was just maybe a week ago)
