Winning PS3's start shipping soon.

Those who won a PS3 via the E3xperience contest, they will begin shipping at the beginning of next month. I'm trying to get all of them shipped out by the EU launch. However, note that this is a goal and not a promise. I'll have the first one in a week or two, and will ship it out shortly after (after a day or two of play testing, gotta make sure the thing works, ya know?). I'll do a video drawing of the winners' names ('cept for you Butters, as I gotta get you a PAL PS3) to determine who gets the first unit. So, be on the look out toward the beginning of next month for the drawing.

The odd thing is, I just had a dream about this last night. I had won my PS3 and was parading it around a room full of people accompanied by Ohhh's and Ahhh's! Good times. :)

Yeah... we had to get at least one foreigner in there. Thanks to Wounding giving his away, that was able to happen. (All winners won in a drawing, so we didn't intend for it to be all American users who won, it just turned out that way). However, my wallet hates you Butters ;) At least I can say "I feel your pain" when you talk about how much more you guys have to pay for a PS3!

There were no DVDs if I remember correctly. It was released via ISO and some other video file I think.

Finally someone who remembers! I have to say that every single time E3x is mentioned, so I'm glad someone finally remembered to say it for me. As for why I have to buy them, Omega and I are sponsoring this contest. He's buying 2 1/2 and I'm getting the other 2 1/2 (We're splitting the cost of yours Fats/Butters). It's no big coorporate funded gig, just a couple E-mpierial members giving something back to the community.

Using your own money to buy 2.5 PS3 for someone you don't even know is really nice of you guys. Even if you buy the 20GB version thats still about $1,200 not including the one for yourself. I respect that sort of kindness.

There's other bills to pay as well, so not in this particular case. This isn't neccessarily an E-mpire project per se, more of a personal deal for E-mpire members.
