Following a successful tie-up with Nintendo for the Wii's launch at the end of last year, a source has revealed that Sony's official European launch partner for the PlayStation 3 will be HMV, GamesIndustry.biz reports.
Analysts are claiming that the PS3's debut will benefit from a launch bonanza at HMV's flagship Oxford Street store - similar to the one staged for the Wii in December.
Neither Sony nor HMV have commented on the stories as of yet, but it's likely that they are based on some truth, as the two company's previously tied up for the PSP's UK launch back in September 2005.
