Couldn't care less about it. No, really, I don't like that kind of games.

What it means for PS3: well, Ubisoft is releasing an exclusive expanded version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent for PS3 and already reworked Blazing Angels while adding new game content. Could we expect more features in GRAW 2 for PS3?

I would love to know why...

They may have had some trouble getting certain things ported over properly. I'm curious if this title was being developed as a 360 title and ported to PS3, or if both were being built from the ground up. Either way, normally when a game comes out later on PS3, it has either better graphics, more features, or both. So, I'm not sweating it too badly.

In that case I'll just forget GRAW2 completely (sorry Ubisoft, instead of picking one version over another, I'm telling both versions to go to hell and die, which means you won't see a single red cent from me if you have decided to jerk PS3 owners around) and wait for SOCOM PS3 instead.

Well, this is bad news only because it makes the March launch in the EU weaker. March is starting to look like Motorstorm, Oblivion, VF5... and what? Splinter Cell? FEAR?

Heavenly Sword and Lair are pushed back... Looks like PS3 will still lack content compared to x360 well into the Spring. I wasn't especially excited about GRAW2, since I don't have a squad of buddies to play with, but another delay is clearly bad news. I hope Sony's PR team is starting to wake up.

I knew UBI would find a way to screw ps3 owners.........

I wouldnt be surprised of seeing Ubisoft having the 360 as the lead platform for their titles. Since the original xbox days they have always showed that they have some really strong ties with Microsoft. Their multiplatform games were always better on Xbox, being Splinter Cell the prime example.

On the other hand, i havent seen a single Unreal Engine 3 based game being released on the ps3 (dunno if Graw 2 is UE3 based though), almost all the titles based on that engine have been delayed.

I think GRAW doesn't work with the UE3, ubi developed an engine that,...well... "pushes the 360 to it's limits" (quoted from an interview with a producer). Being so, I really don't think they will build the game from the ground up for the ps3 ever, all ps3 will get will be lazy ports. Make that lazy ports that arrive late. (gosh, at least EA releases their multiplatform games at the same time)

@mario25 - That's what I said, I think Ubi is actually becoming worse than EA... it's quite disappointing actually since not so long ago they were the fresh stuff up and coming...

I think them not releasing them at the same time has to do with that EA is a much more powerful publisher with a lot more in the bank to spend.

Um...Unreal 2k7?
It hasnt been released yet.

I was talking about the games that use that engine, almost all of them have been delayed.

Fatal Inertia, delayed.
Rainbow Six, delayed.
Coded Arms, canceled.

Etc, etc, etc.

I guess UE3 doesn't work with ps3.......100 less games about bald space marines and shoot every thing that moves

Instead, we'll get 100 Japanese Mahjong games hahahaha just messing.

I guess Epic would like Unreal 3.0 to debut with UT2K7 on PS3, one way or another. Even if it's as simple as "we're not done".

Personally, I haven't finished Graw 1 yet! So many games so little time.

Great game though.

I doubt Ubi will do two versions at this stage. and doing multiple versions for the same platform class is rare. almost all of the games we see have a main version and is altered for the other choices.

PS3 games are coming out little by little. the system is still just over two months old. compare that to another that has been around for more than a year and you can see why one has more games. step by step, PS3 is getting there. I think it won't be until the end of 07 before your average joe can view a PS3 as having a number of musthaves.
Their multiplatform games were always better on Xbox, being Splinter Cell the prime example.
Ubi does do better with Box, but nothing odd there since it is a better system than PS2 and easier to handle. also, they have said that they have much better online for SC on Box because of LIVE. again, that is expected really.

you will almost never see a dev make independent engines for the same class of hardware. altered engines, yes. completely independent ones, no. for example, Capcom basically has the same engines for all their 'next-gen' projects for PS3, X2 and very likely PC. they just have different versions or tweaks to suit each specific system better.
I was talking about the games that use that engine, almost all of them have been delayed.
interesting. I wonder if the delays had much to do with the actual engine.

GRAW is good. But it'll never compare to Socom PS3.

Nameless

Delay usually = better final product...
Perhaps this is a good sign that Ubisoft does not plan on simply porting 360 code to the PS3.

please elaborate on the Etc, etc, etc part of your post, bearing in mind that delays usually mean additional content which is good for ps3 owners ;)

No Surprise, they always make Tom Clancy Games better on the xbox. They delayed Vegas on PS3 now they are doing the same with GRAW2.
