This is where your personal best times come up, you can get a bronze,silver or gold medal. What exactly they do or unlock is still a msytery to me. I have bronze medals in some tracks but havent unlocked anything ot my knowledge. I dont know a lick of Japanese.

Yes I have the import version, even not knowing any Japanese I am totally captivated by this game and trust me my crappy pics dont do this game justice. The graphics are a bit sharper than the demo version imo and the controls are spot-on even when using the tilt controls. I cant wait till the US version comes out so I can finally check out career mode. There is a decent sized menu for it and since its all in Japanese I have no idea what it says :p

The early morning time trials are a thing of beauty and the online for F1 should be nothing short of amazing. Online qualifiers are supposed to be in th egame as well so that will add even more depth for people like me who want to start their own online racing seasons with 11 other F1 addicts. If there are any questions that any of you have I will do my best to answer them and if you have any requests for pics I will try to honor those as well.

my fondest memorys of the days when I was Crewing for the RT/2000 Dodge Formula. was when we would show up before dawn at Limerock or walkinsglen. the foggy summer mornings that would wisp over the tracks at there low spots. I (the rest of the crew had hangovers usaly) would bring the cars out of the trailers give them the morning checks. everything would be setup ready to go long before the drivers and owners would show. just so I could have the track to myself (i would ride my bicycle) durring that sunrise bliss.

That's kind of weird actually. Well, you know, ducks are pretty complicated fellers, they probably didn't have time to get an Insomniac level of an idea for a weapon to put in before launch.

It would've made a great reward for finishing the game though eh? Not only dual pistols, but a rubber ducky weapon! The Chimera have met their match!

That TV actually isnt my primary TV for gaming. It is a Polaroid 32' that Circuit City had on sale back in 05 for 900 dollars. It is 720p and that was good enough for me then but I now have a 40' Sony XBR in my den upstairs that I prefer. I took the shots on the Polaroid because right now I have my mother staying with me for a bit and she is using it and my new Bose 3-2-1 system that I just hooked up to it. I am having my 5th surgery in the past year and a half soon and she being a mother just cant fathom the thought of me being in my house with nobody taking care of me. I told her my girlfriend will be just fine keeping an eye on me but my mom wont have any part in it so I just gave up and accepted the fact that she wont take no for an answer.

The tilt-control works just like motorstorms does but it seems tighter. I am going to play around with the steering settings in the pre-match menu and see if I change any of that if it will make the steering even better. I do realize there is no rumble and I am not missing it. There is also no rumble in the logitech wheels people have been using for this and GT-HD also if I am not mistaken.

You will know when you need to ease off the wheel when your tires are screaming bloody murder and spin-outs of epic magnitude do happen and are very fun to see. and my version of 71 is running in 720p on my 720p Polaroid and seriously my screenshots do not do it justice.

And Gar I will see if the duck does anything but I have yet to really try to do anythign in the trophy room other than look around at all the cars under covers and try to imagine the awesomness beneath.

I have to say though, I really wish there was rumble to go along with the motion sensing. I'll definitely miss all the ruts in the road, especially like the ones in GT4. It felt so solid.

But anywho, this motion sensing sounds very well implemented, you can adjust setting of it you are saying? Is it like changing the sensitivity? Can you change the deadzone? Increments?

I was saying I am going ot try messing with the steering settings for the car itself and see if the motion sensing can react off that. You can fine-tune your car and I am wondering if the motion sensing will get tighter or looser based on how you tune your car. I dont think you can change the deadzone or anything.

Yea the scenery is average in some places but in others it is pretty beautiful. Monte Carlo and other urban tracks are amazing when you get that ray of light coming in between buildings and the buildings themself look pretty decent. I will do my best to take more pics today to share with yall. There are quite a few other courses I didnt cover and I will try to get some more crahs pics. I will take it easy on the pain meds and see if I can get a more steady hand :p

There is a controller configuration much like that that uses the shoulders for gas and brake and the motion sensing at the same time for steering. It works great and feels amazing when you get the hang of it.

edit: Yes dock you can use the classic cars but only in time trials and possibly career mode starting out im not sure. That is one reason why I cant really give a full review of the Japanese version, I cant figure out what the words are in Japanese to advance in career mode in the menu's.

Yup exactly, so far both Motorstorm and F1 have made great use of the motion controls and they seem perfect for the racing genre of games.
