SCEA: Ideas for the Next Generation... What's Next?
Also noticed Sony was providing some tutorials on "Core Techniques and Algorithms in Shader Programming", and "Physics for Game Programmers".
Also of note, Havok will have a good presence there. Sony will have an area with Demo PS3 units (West Hall, Second Floor) where game developer wannabe's can talk with Sony regarding employment. Also noticed Naughty Dog will provide "Interactive Storytelling Boot Camp".

Phil Harrison Announced as Keynote Speaker For GDC 2007 (http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3156719)
After Monday's announcement that Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto would be keynoting Thursday at the Game Developer's Conference this year, CMP Media revealed that Sony's Phil Harrison would be keynoting Wednesday.
Harrison's keynote, entitled "Game 3.0: Developing and Creating for the 3rd Age of Videogames" is described on the official GDC site as:
The entertainment, creative and commercial opportunities presented by connected communities of players and developers are almost infinite.
What does 'always on' mean for both the game development industry and consumer? What are some of the innovative products and services that will help content developers define and shape the meaning of Game 3.0
Sony Computer Entertainment's Worldwide Studios will demonstrate some exclusive insights into its development of products and services that will help define future growth in the video game market.
So that's two-thirds of the big three having a member of their organization keynoting -- is GDC lacking on love for Microsoft this year? According to GDC spokespeople, there will be plenty else Microsoft related to look forward to at the event. It looks like there will be a lot of news before the European launch :)

Sony's Harrison Returning to GDC (http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=4608&Itemid=2)
Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios head Phil Harrison will be returning to the Game Developers Conference this year to deliver a connectivity-centric keynote.
Harrison’s speech, "Game 3.0: Developing and Creating for the Third Age of Video Games", is expected to cover major points regarding the age of massively connected consoles. He’ll emphasize online-facilitated opportunities from a commercial, creative, community and entertainment standpoint.
The keynote will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Esplanade Room of the Moscone Center's South Hall on Wednesday, March 7. GDC takes place March 5-9, and Next-Gen will be in attendance to bring rolling coverage.
CMP Group, which organizes GDC, recently announced that legendary Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto will be delivering his own keynote the day after Harrison's presentation.
