The Nintendo Dual Screen will be getting a new, official name in about six weeks.
Since its announcement Nintendo's upcoming dual screened handheld has always been called the Nintendo Dual Screen. (There were the Nitro rumors, but they were confirmed to be false.)
But in six weeks, at Nintendo's pre-E3 press conference, when Nintendo reveals the Dual Screen's expected price, release date, and final, official name, it won't be "Dual Screen." Nintendo of America's Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Reggie Fils-Aime, has said that the name "Dual Screen" is just a placeholder – a name for the console for the time being – until the official name is announced later.
GameCube Advanced will be at Nintendo'’s pre-E3 press conference, so on May 11th we'll have the complete details for you as they are announced.

I wonder if it will be a cool name? Thats what everybody would hope for, and not something too kiddy.

It does need a new title; something more interesting than just "Dual Screen". It needs something respectable so that prospective owners will give it more serious consideration. We don't need Nintendo marketing a "Pixie Duo Con".

I liked the name Nitro. Nintendo Nitro doesn't sound kiddie at all.

I think it's okay, but it's just the project name, so it isn't likely to end up being the final name.

I'd rather it be the Nintend DS over the Nitro, simply because I wouldn't be calling it the Nintendo Dual Screen. Nitro sounds like it's trying too hard to set an image, the equivalent of using extreme. Furthermore, it doesn't sound creative at all, just lazy. I've never been disappointed in any of the names Nintendo has come up with, so I don't think they'll mess up this one.

Nintendo Gameboy Advance Turbo
I would immediately dismiss a variant of "Game Boy Advance" since it isn't a GBA in any way, shape, or form. I would further dismiss any form of "Game Boy" at all, since it is to be its own seperate entity apart from but along side of the Game Boy line.

I thought Nintendo Dual Screen sounded fine, to be honest. Or just DS. Goes along with the rest of their consoles...or the handhelds, at least.
