My parents went to Miami recently, and while on tour the guide told them something interesting. He pointed to a bunch of boats at the dock and told them that those were confiscated and donated boats and that they were given to the homeless. He said that the government made a deal with the Hobos that at a certain time or at sunset, they all have to go to a island (he pointed to an island) and that they have to stay there until morning. He said it was because there were too many hobo related murders and crimes. Can anyone verify this? Sounds like a good reality tv show.

That's...really strange, and hopefully not true...

I don't believe that, sounds like a stupid idea too me. If the cops did that you think they would want it to be a secret. Now someone can just plant a bomb on that island and kill all the hobos at once.
Fake.

Maybe England can claim France and do it with the French too. And instead of a boat we make it a rocket ship. And instead of an island, we make it the sun. :)

I want to visit, it'll feel just like home.

I went there!
Regardless of being true or not, it would make for great tourism! Another good marketing ploy to sucker people into giving their dollars away.

One time a bum came up to my house and saw an old beer sitting in my garage. It had to be two weeks old, unrefrigerated, and open. He drank it anyway.

I've seen hobos back in the woods near my neighborhood but they don't cause trouble if you leave them be.
