Because this is general gaming material. If your going to post something with other consoles besides ps3 it would be nice to have it in general gaming. That way more of the forum users view it and you get in the habit of putting it there.

Well, considering that a lot of the PS3 people never bother their asses coming outside of Psinext I think this had more potential in there.

there is a thread concerning multi-platform in which a poster requested a poll so i obliged. if that thread belongs here then surely this does. we'll never get a good picture while its in general gaming ;)

I will definitely get a PS3 as that already got me more interested in two month than other consoles (just waiting for the March release now).

And I might buy a Wii on impulse at one point but 98% chance I won't since it's a console that I mostly get invited to play by friends (by 'friends', i mean this one nerdy kid who brings it in the school) and that playtime is enough for me.
