Is it feasibly possible to sound proof a bedroom?
I just got some new speakers, and they are so insanely kick ass its a joke, they kick the ass of the guy that kicked ass.
I'm about to move, and for the first time I'm going to be living in a house that isnt semidetached. I can't remember the word but it's inbetween 2 houses and I'm worried about the ability of the walls to block sound.
Only a few days ago I realised that I could hear the people next door switching on and off the lights in their living room.

That's a shame. I have no idea what to tell you except for congrats on the badass speakers.

Yeah foam is about your only answer and even then it only does so much.

There are a number of companies that you can buy material for sound deadening. The better stuff can cost a lot per sq. foot.

You may want to call someone like these people http://kaufmanandassociates.net/ They make professional studios and may be able to give you some helpful advice from experience.

just stick a load of mattresses up against the walls. and some egg boxes, they work quite well, apparently.
find out how to make a sound booth like in a recording studio and then just do it on a larger scale

Lots of dyno mat, it works really nice in my car. Its expensive and not worth it for a bedroom though.

Hey if they complain about the sound, turn up the volume until they move away ;)
.....Or until the police show up ¬_¬

Call the company that i linked above, the worst they can do is not give you any advice. I think most companies though would be more than willing to give you some advice so long as it doesn't take up much of their time.
Good Luck :)
