You had me at Police and sealed the deal with Junior Brown.

Also good to see xavier getting some recognition overseas.

If you go, don't miss junior brown.

Also John Butler Shreds the banjo, but usually plays shitty guitar.

I'd be up for White Stripes, The Police, Flaming Lips, Ween, Decemberists, Regina Spektor, Black Keyes, DJ Shadow, Spoon and the National but alas the options I current have are an unannounced Reading/Leeds and a festival headlined by Linkin Park and My Chemical Romance (and Iron Maiden).

they haven't announced who playing Reading/Leeds?

no doubt it'll be...Kasabian, James Morrison, Kaisers, The View, Babyshambles, TGTBATQ, Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, Fratellis and a few overseas acts

NME said the red hot chili peppers and smashing pumpkins are going to be there... but NME are full of shit.

i'm sure there'll be tons of great bands at leeds/reading. you just have to look past all the indie tripe, like every year.

Smashing Pumpkins are recording a new album, but they're doing it without James, from my knowledge. Which kind of ruins the point of calling themselves the Smashing Pumpkins.

Yeah, last year it was pretty good. I guess I'm a sucker for American bands, I loved Secret Machines, Broken Social Scene, TV on the Radio and The Raconteurs last year. The Fratellis were absolutely mad in the small shitty Carling tent, but I probably wouldn't bother with them on the main stage.

JUNIOR BROWN!!

Even just to see his fucking guitsteel.

Fucking see him. He is easily the most underated guitar/slide player ever.

This isn't a great example but he switches playing guit and lapsteel every 10 seconds in some songs and never misses a beat.
