I don't exactly feel like copying a few gigs of data to and from my PC to my PS3 (Lack of DVD-Rs at the moment) and a 512 USB Drive wont hack it, I was wondering if my computer would be able to read the PS3's Filesystem at all or is there a program to or is there a way to send files to it over my network here?
Thanks for any help.

Google? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=PS3+XMB+File+system&btnG=Search
AFAIK there isn't any easy way to move files around, I am sure that will change though.

I usualy transfer files with Personal Web Sharing, it's in the Sharing panel in Mac OS X Preferences, no idea how you do such things in Windows.

I'd set up an FTP or HTTP server on the PC to simply download videos, pictures and music from it using PS3's web browser. I did it with my PSP and PC and it worked well.

as VG said, a ftp server would be easiest and fastest.

Can you explain this more? A inquiring mac user would like to know :)
(But the player won't support DiVX right?)
okay, how can you set that up? is there a link that explains the process step by step?

if only PS3 would play DivX. hopefully something will appear on YDL...
