Yes, you can play PS2 games online on the PS3, including FFXI which can now be installed on the HDD.

^ If the standard PS2 network configuration allows you to access their servers with a public IP address I don't see a problem...

It makes no difference, FFXI doesn't run on Sony servers, Resident Evil Outbreak 1 and 2 don't run on Sony servers, all of those work with the PS3.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v500/EvilTaru/Indifferent2.gif

Yep. You just have to create another network config file on the PS3's virtual memory card (every game should prompt you if it can't find one) and you're all set.

Problem is if you use wireless. It only recognizes the wired eth0 and not the wireless connection, in fact when you boot a PS2 game the WiFi turns itself off.

^That'll probably change when the PS2 emulation switches to software mode.

Just tried MGS3 Subsistance online with my new 60GB PS3. No ethernet cable, built in 802.11b only.

It appears to be working....!

127 Players online, in the lobby. I love my new PS3... :) Definately one of my better ideas, Kiwi PS2s/3s connect to Aussie servers. Empty Aussie servers. I get great pings to the USA so I can go play on fuller servers. :)

I got a very spezialised question. How is it with the f.... headset. The problem when i play Socom 3 i can't talk or hear people talking.

It pisses me off that i have to open ports and make the f.... headset run.

Do anyone has headset problems with resistance or any other ps3 game? Contains the shitty problems on the ps3?

P.S.

My headset is still not running
