Here are the best DVDs I own, and will own:
Apocalypse Now Redux (although the Brazillian guy from my film school, which I'm almost finished with now, borrowed it and dissapeared. Oh well, it was only $15AU and I'm going to get the 'Complete Dossier' edition soon anyway.)
Also, I will be getting the three-disc Criterion Collection edition of Brazil, which I will say now to you Crow, that if you haven't seen Brazil, and you like 'Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas', you might just love it. But maybe you have seen it and only didn't list it because you don't own it, in which case, what a great film, eh.
I will also be getting the Criterion Collection edition of Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas too.
Speaking of Criterion Collection DVDs, I have Richard Linklater's Slacker and Dazed And Confused, and Spike Lee's Do The Right Thing.
I have the two-disc Superbit edition of Punch-Drunk Love, the two-disc special edition of I Heart Huckabees and the two-disc collector's edition of Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (and the soundtracks to all three. Jon Brion is excellent!)
The tenth anniversary double-disc set of Pulp Fiction.
The tenth anniversary triple-disc set of Clerks (X).
Of course I have both the Star Wars and Indiana Jones trilogy box sets.
Also, the Mariachi trilogy.
I've had the "Recut, Extended, Unrated" Sin City set since long before it came out here in Australia.
Internet stores are good.

Man I hate Donnie Darko.
It set an over-rated trend in my opinion and it's really not that clever as it likes to think.
In fact it's not that clever at all and I actually find it very bland.
Anyway, I too usually rent movies only but I had to buy Apocalypse Now because well...It's Apocalypse Now and awesome. I usually watch it with a few friends.
I also couldn't live without my copy of Distant. I can watch this any time I want and it never fails to inspire me so I was serious about that "can't live without" comment.
That's it I think.
I don't think I own any more DVDs and even if I did, obviously they are not my favourite since I can't even remember them.
I think I have Hostage somewhere but I hardly watch that. I only bought it because I think Bruce Willis is awesome at what he does.
i dont own the Mariachi trilogy but i have two out of the 3, Desperado and the one listed already
i haven't seen Brazil, i will purchase of it
i have just bought Third Man and One That Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, those can be added also
i think i'll edit my first post with all my films
I don't really own that many films, here's the few that I do have:
A Clockwork Orange
Akira
Anchorman
Apocalypse Now
Battle Royale
Casablanca
Casino
Citizen Kane
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Full Metal Jacket
Goodfellas
Happy Gilmore
Logan's Run
Memento
Perfect Blue
Sleepers
Spirited Away
Taxi Driver
Terminator 2
The Deer Hunter
The Godfather Trilogy
The Shining
Of course there's a ton of other films that I love, I just haven't got around to getting them.
