American McGee's newest artist renders dark fairy tale imagery.

US, March 1, 2007 - According to former Doom designer American McGee's blog, his new development team Spicy Horse is conjuring up some wicked new images for the their upcoming game, The Grimm Project.

Concept artist Lin Ran's work illuminates the basic artistic direction the team is headed, with images of Pinocchio, Little Red Riding Hood, and several other Brothers' Grimm tales containing monsters and trolls.

The blog doesn't mention which systems McGee is planning for, nor does it mention a publisher, release date, or other business details. But that's not really the point, the art, and the game, are, however. And in that respect, the artwork is imaginative, dark and provocative. If a publisher is contracted and this game does get full support, we're in for more than some great bedtime stories.

a Very overrated game designer , who has only one decent game ( American McGee's Alice ..a dark-emo style based on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland ) , now this dude after "Alice" he try to do this ...he also try to rip off GTA ....

As kind of a left field statement the concept of "folk" in studies is becoming more prevalent in the US. Many Univs. are offering folklore studies, classes, and field studies.

But anyways........
