How do u add friends to xmb friend list?

Ok I finally got a ps3. I got resistance and I see how to add friends inside the resistance friends list. But once I go to xmb, they are not listed and are not in players met section either. Like I said I added them to my resistance friends list, but its not showing in the universal xmb friends list.

Is there a way to do it or is something wrong with my network settings? Please help, just got this thing and want to figure it out

It's because currently they are seperate.

Also, which Network games let you use a headset/mic in gameplay?

Not sure about the first question, the second question I'll answer as best I can. So far Resistance and Motorstorm, however there may be more. Those are the only 2 multiplayer games I own (that I actually play, Ultimate Alliance is a bore.)

Insomniac said that the PSN wasn't entirely ready when Resistance was about to go gold, so they decided not to implement it.

I know that with Fight Night and Full Auto 2 Demo the friends met list is compatible, you can just add them from there.
