dumb question: but how do you use a 2nd controller? i dunno if mine's faulty or what, but it only works if we plug it in. if you press the PS button, it never syncs with the ps3, the lights just keep flashing. i thought you plug it in once, and that was it. but i plug it in, light stops flashing, it assigns #2. then when i unplug it Resistance tells me it's disconnected, and it starts flashing again. wtf.

I don't think your controller is charged, fella. When you plug it, let it stay in. To check the status of the charge, hit and hold the PS button until it pulls up a tiny icon on the top right of your screen. Hold it longer to go to the Option Menu. There you'll see the charge status at the bottom left of your screen.

if you got it recently and approach the place you bought it with tact, then i'm sure a receipt won't necessarily be needed. if they know your face even better, but if not they may be able to check with the code on the box it came with

^ Give Walmart a try they may accept an exchange, but don't bring the box if you purchased it from a different retailer...
first, make sure it is defected. let the store guys try it.
also, aren't the pads for $40?

Yeah, first mistake. Don't buy peripherals and shit from EBGames. In fact, don't guy games you may or may not like from EB, as you will have to keep them. There's no getting your money back from them. Buy games and periphs from retail stores. That way if they break, you can take them back without the hassle.
