looking through the blogg from last time i found this:

Three Speech’s event over at PlayStation’s 3Rooms was over a week ago now, but we’re still been receiving lots of questions asking about the night. So here’s a definitive round up from one of Three Speech’s regular contributors, Steve Boxer. And we’ll be back with news of further Three Speech events in the New year…

which suggests we may have to weight a while for this information fellas :(

although:

We’ll load up more details of the event as soon as they’re pinned down.

Some info from PlayThree.net
http://www.playthree.net/2007/03/european-ps3-has-over-1200-compatible.html

European PS3 has over 1200 compatible PS2 titles (and rising)

I've just come back from the ThreeSpeech.com Playstation 3 event at 3Rooms in London. It was encouraging to see some of the fattest and nerdiest bloggers out in force.

Phil Harrison basically gave a recap of his presentation at the GDC. Although there wasn't any new revelations, the demonstraton of Playstation Home went down very well with a couple of people gushing praise.

* The Playstation Home team are working to allow people meeting in Home to launch directly into a game.

* Phil said Sony are looking at ways for people to sell items to one another, however they do not want to become a bank and take on the responsibility and regulations that entails.

* There is a long-term plan to allow people outside a cinema/movie theatre in home, to 'go in' and download the film to their PS3.

* Possibly some aspects of Playstation Home will be accessible via the PSP, obviously limited by its hardware.

* Phil did confirm that the PAL/Euro version of the Playstation 3 currently has over 1200 compatible PS2 titles, with more to be added to the list by the time the console launches. This will be via a necessary firmware upgrade to 1.6 (the consoles were shipped over 4 weeks ago.)

* The Sony PR man said that a new HD camera and mic. with spatial awareness will be coming later in the year. Also downloaded PS1 games playable on the PS3 will happen- but later this year.

So, very pleased to hear that the PS2 issue is being actively worked on.

It would be really cool if, by spatial awareness, they meant 3D spatial awareness.

i think this useless..we ( PSP-PS3 owners ) want the global remote play now

the mighty EYE3 ? or just HD camera for video chat ?

^Spatial awareness? No way is it NOT the new eyetoy. Besides, Sony wouldn't release just some ordinary camera for PS3.

The new camera and its software should be amazing. I wonder if it'll be fully integrated in Home, that could have incredible potential.

Anyone remember that unbelievable tech demo where CELL used a camera to create a realistic digital replication of a person's face (sort of like a mirror)? It was shown on a Japanese news channel.

I would go find the video and post it here but as usual I'm on my PS3's web browser.

We're in to be blown away by what's to come with the new eyetoy. Just you wait and see. For a very long time now I have always maintained the belief that the eyetoy is a major focus for Sony and that they take it much more seriously than most people realise.

Nice coverage!!! Too much to post it all here:

http://www.tomkiss.net/games/threespeech-threerooms/

So Phil kicked off with pretty much the same demo that we saw from GDC of Home. Watching it run in 1080p on the plasma screen, it looks much nicer than the videos on the web.

As of yesterday, there were 1200 PlayStation 2 titles which are compatible with the new software emulation on the European PlayStation 3. We weren’t given any specific titles, but the key titles have absolutely had the most work put into them. Expect God of War 2 to be compatible come launch day. Phil also expects that number to grow over the next week, so when you plug in your PS3 on launch day (if you are lucky/rich enough to get one) the console will automatically download a firmware update (Version 1.6) which will enable you to play your PS2 titles. Not that anyone is going to want to play anything other than Resistance or Motorstorm on launch day, right?

With regards to the online gaming, someone asked how the launching of multiplayer online gaming will happen through Home. Basically, say you want to play Motorstorm online with five of your friends, you first invite them into your personal space/appartment within Home, and from there you can initiate an online game linking up your unique PlayStation 3 ID’s. This really is a great way of simplifying what was previously seen as rather convoluted online play. It’s not perfect by any means, you still have to jump through hoops a little by first inviting people into your space and then launching the title, but it’s a better system than they were showing before. All of a sudden, Xbox Live doesn’t seem quite so great after all. Expect Microsoft to counter this somehow in the near future. I’m still hedging my bets that the Live Gold subscription will be free by the end of the year.

When will the PS3’s remote play functionality be available from outside the home?
This was one question I had to ask - and one of the major reasons I wanted a PS3 in the first place, it’s a really great piece of media functionality. I missed this question in the Q&A but managed to ask him afterwards. He said “Remote Play from wireless hotspots? It’s included in the 1.6 update“. It’s an awesome feature - allowing you to access any photo, video or audio media stored on your PS3 at home, using your PSP, from anywhere in the world. Nice.

Great coverage - I expect PS3 BC to get better over time.

Sony isn't one to forget about such a feature and it will be continually improved up until PS4 and beyond most likely.

WOW....did everyone notice how crisp and realistic the graphics are in Home?? I seriously want to see how many people DON"T at least try this out when it's released...

Looks awesome...check out the wrinkles in the guy's shirt. Can't wait to see how close I can get to matching myself online...
