With the European launch happening pretty soon and the possibility that the firmware for the states and Japan will add Software Emulation allowing for High Definition PS1 titles with a smaller amount of PS2 titles.

So here's the question. What is your top five games you want in HD from the get-go? Here's mine:

1. Castlevania: Curse of Darkness
2. Shadow of the Colossus
3. Soul Calibur III
4. Armored Core Nexus
5. Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition

I would like Lament of Innocence as well but it's not really that necessary for me.

Virtua Fighter 4 in high def would be interesting, the main thing wrong with that is hideous low res jaggyness.

Rogue Galaxy pretty please, it's very blurry.

Pretty much anything that's 480i and yucky. If you have PS3 you probably have a set up optimised to 720/1080p and low res can be nasty. It all looks fine on an SD TV but it high def it's al bleugh.

I'd rather have high res PS1 than PS2 games right now, give the love where it's needed most.

I don't like God of War at all. I much prefer Devil May Cry (as a series). I tried the demo of the second GOW and I played through the majority of the first one and I have to say that it's just the same.

I meant, more specifically, PS2 titles as ALL PS1 titles are compatible.

Yeah GOW had probably the lamest final battle ever, story rocked and the game play was solid, it was just repetitive mindless combos though, but since I am a fan of Dynasty Warriors that's cool with me.

oh.... ZOE2, please appear as a download game on the PS3, I played the demo came from the OPM, full of old demos, and damn, Its everything I hoped it to be. At first I was a little disappointed because the Control scheme was confusing me, but than, It Hit me, and bamm, grab, spin(ohhh the spin is such a killer RAAWR :pleased: ) like crazy, Its was so fun, damn the game is amazing.... And the homing lasers, yep, everything I hoped the game(demo) to be :thumbr:

Anyway, that's an awesome list right there, I have all those games as well...

Except RE4-beat on Gamecube and didn't feel the need to play it again...

Besides that, what the heck is supposed to after? MML2 ended as if it was going to be followed up with a third version. The story must commence.

FFXII getting a huge face lift) so it wouldn't be hard applying it to the PSX games. :)

So did Halo but I still can't find what's so great about it.

Plus Danji is right imo, DMC is a better action game, GoW is just a little more accessible to people who aren't that good at DMC and Ninja Gaiden, I would know I button mashed my way through a good half of GoW but can't get anywhere near the end of DMC3 or Ninja Gaiden Black.

Yeah I'd like to have a better version for RE4 on the PC to be honest, the one they released for the PC sucked... almost beat it on the Gamecube, then I just started playing RPGs a lot.

Software Emulation stuff sounds good, especially if it will make my PS2 games look better! Some upgraded God of War 2 and Rouge Galaxy would do me just fine, and I've been dying to play FFX over as well...

I hope to see PS games on the store soon, I really wanna play Chrono Cross and I'm not good at emulating and stuff...I want to play it on my TV anyway...

:O You lucky duck you.... lol! You really got to get a pad adapter for your PC. I play all my PS1 games on my PC right now, I absolutely adore it, it's a blast. Got a pair of Dualshock 2's hooked up to my PC, for anytime any of me and my friends feel like a round or two of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit or something. I'm totally doing a daily or bidaily tribute to the PS1 by playing so many games that came with it lol :)

But of course, we won't need such adapters when the PS3 software emu solution is out and with I guess now it's fact that the res upgrading for all games!!! *drools* I can't believe we are getting that honestly, PS2 AND 1 games! FAKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!! WILD! This is somehow further sinking into my head right now lol! I'm having flashbacks of so many PS1 and 2 games it's insane...

It wasn't hard, per se, you just had to form strict habits of how to deal with each enemy and like old NES games it was very unforgiving when you didn't do something the right way. I loved that game..can't wait for Sigma.

^ The game just required that you learn some of the powerful combos and select the proper weapons to deal with specific enemies and bosses.
Ninja Gaiden is the type of game that makes you appreciate learning the moves, because you feel like a bad ass once you start owning all the enemies.
Also, you just can't button mash, because the game is extremely difficult on any setting if simply button mash. Great game design if you ask me...

This is the wrong thread for this statement, but Ninja Gaiden is the best action game of all time IMO. God Of War is amazing, but Ninja Gaiden's gameplay has the game beaten period...
