Mini PCI Slot

I have a mini PCI slot empty on my laptop. I know a wireless card can go into it. What else can go into that because I already have a wireless card in my PC card slot on the side.

A variety of divices. USB port and firewire adapters, modems, ethernet, etc. Is it a Type I, II, or III slot? Type III, being the largest, can hold a Laptop harddive.
