Come on gents and ladies, it is a anonymous, individual process not an invite for everyone to suddenly drop rock into the green bar of wonder! You don't tell people you just gave can goods to the poor do you?!

Is there anyone out there is PSX-land than can see this too? All I need is one to confirm...only one.

Would have been a great post but I disagree with your observation.
I saw that happen maybe twice and I read almost every thread here.

One thing I hate about this place is that sometimes people ignore logic to take personal stabs at someone else or take a stab at X360 or MS or whatever or praise PS3/ Sony.

But other than that, pretty good place.

Oh yeah and people repeating each other, that drives me madder than it should.

Originally I contributed, actually contributed to this forum with posts I thought could help build up a community. Got rep from about 7 different people.

Now I'm not a repwhore but seeing how people get rep for saying "tits up" these days I find it both amusing and sad. Lost my "faith" to these forums some 8 months ago.

Maybe it was the illusion and speculation of incoming wonders which kept PSINext forums alive, there was TONS of tech talk, you could actually learn something new and useful every week. Now it's mostly bickering and sour milk, few bright spots here and there and then again another defense against the attacks of the ever trumping troll army.

The only thing I seem to get out of your post is that we shouldn't reveal it when we give +rep to someone, for whatever reason no matter how stupid, immature, pointlessly funny or simply well deserved it could be. I understand that we don't act the same way when we are not virtually interacting with friends we made on teh interwebs in equivalent situations (or maybe yes!), but then again, I find it to be a mild quirk characteristic of forum-posting, which doesn't necessarily have to be a mirror of our real life social interaction in terms of method.

Either that, or I still don't get it :dur:

Aye, but it is sending a spoon where a fork should tread. Related , but misused related to intended purpose.

Yes, the OP, the outsider person...hisss! Venom from the snake...Kill the infidel...Gooble goobble, one of use...one of.... :)

Me thinks you have some glimmering idea. The links are for the lost, you may use them if you find you need them. Doing a search, you may find it strange that the madhouse and PS3 peak relative to the rest when querying +rep. :P

----------------------------------------------------------------

It seem there are some here that find it difficult to laugh at themselves.

See? The small rolling ball is laughing, probably at itself since it may be suffering from jondus, and a corporate astigmatism it carries.

------------------------------------------------------------------

It seems a task has become clear, You must all get back to being able at to laugh at yourselves again.

Well, it seems he doesn't like to see us stating - in our post - who we +rep.
If I didn't see posts like this - I wouldn't even know what it was, when I joined.

The number one motivator - in business as well as in private - is personal recognition. I get +reps for finding news and uploading HD movies and I give them for the same reason.

He thinks the +rep should be a personal and private matter and not a part of a public post.

I disagree - keeping it visible shows other people what kind of behaviour and effort is appreciated and that is a powerful way of keeping this forum in such a good shape!

But the new and compounded issue is laughter.

^ read my post again - I edited the last sentence.

It is NOT enough to tell a good poster, that he did good, if you don't show the other people, what you want.

Another thing: there is no automatic notification that you got a +rep. Fix that and it might be different.

Still works. :P

There are many other ways to do that, but there is meaning in the symbolism.

ya what is this thread about?

It is about what is written, which is commonly found to be a trait of most of them. Unlike the madhouse, which erratically diverges, most in other section stay topic coherent, as of which this is still to the original. :P

Although it is is list of ...DOOM! ...It is not eternally damming...Just most of it! :)

I just complied a list of +reps from some threads to prove, by number, it was being done. I am sure they love you just the same, even..with your...horrible...mutated...disfigured...posting issues! ;) Besides, can;t you smell the sarcasm in "BruceWayneIII's signature..You cad!" ?

Ok...

So you don't like the rep system, ok. Just try not to use it lol, I like giving people rep when they mention some cool stuff or share cool stuff with the rest of the board, that's just me though lol.

I don't care much for the numbers, I just like to dish out the response when people provide us with cool stuff.
