Anyone picked* up Armored Core yet?

I just got it today, It's actually pretty fun despite what the reviews were saying. The controls are pretty tight (different from previous Armored Cores) except aiming is kind of hard when your flying one way and the enemy is flying another but it gets easier.

Anyways I was trying to take it only to see if what it would be like and I had trouble finding a game so I was wondering if anyone had it yet or if you were planning on getting it. The game supports up to 8 people online: 4 vs 4 team matches, 8 man battle royale, 2 vs 2, 4 man battle royale, and 1 vs 1.

I bought the game this week. I've only played an hour or so on the game. I'm horrible at it. First Armored Core game I've played and the controls are a bit odd. I need to configure it more. I played 1 vs 1 online and lost in 10 seconds. :(

Yeah after doing a few offline simulators and getting stomped in about 10 seconds I decided I'm not ready to go Online quite yet. :Carrot:

I'll wait for the demo before I even think of buying this one.

Whoo! I wonder what you'd be saying about the PSone/early PS2 AC games, lol:
L2/R2= Look up/down, L1/R1=Strafe left/right, X=boost, Left Analog Stick=Turn left/right, Right Analog Stick(Pressing R3)=Activate Optional Equipment (stick NOT used to look around).

I was a fuckin' AC Newtype with these controls, the new dual analog stick controls implemented in later PS2 AC games are alright for folks used to FPS's, I guess. I prefer the original AC controls myself.

Yeah, I got this arriving next week. Haven't played an Armored Core since the PS2 launch so looking forward to it.
