Kanye is alright, but he needs to gain experience as a rapper. Sure, he has it as a producer, but he is just starting as a rapper. I can think of many lines in his stuff that has a witty verse, followed by an extremely dumb one.

oh yeah, sorry you are right. I was confused when I wrote this and I was speaking about DMX. of course DMX sucks more than Canibus but still, Canibus sucks, period.

that shit you said about dre is just wrong. yeah he is a producer first but he's far from being the best. He's using the same drumkit over and over. never original. same fucking simple piano loop, nothing really exciting. he's just making club hits with no particular interest or originality. and then, even if you're a "good" producer (we will say dre is a good producer which is not true) you shouldn't use writters cause it's so gay, you should just produce and never touch the mic. I mean, a producer can live really well in a game without touching the mic... so there is no point or reason to use a ghostwritter.

and dizzee rascal has a dope voice. and he's better than most of the emcees mentionned in this thread
