Does the colaxial cable go into a modem and then via a ethernet wire into the computer? OR does them modem, as well, have a colaxial cable going to the PC? If your PC has a colaxial cable going into for networking, you most likly have a BNC connector. This cable connects by pressing it on and turning it once to lock it in place, just like attaching a bayonett knife being attched to a rifle, just where it got its name BNC connector. Answer this and I will be able to help further.

ok im not sure about what u said (i dont know much about this kind of thing) but this new service we get comes with a lan card that the coax goes into... the coax looks almost exactly like a cable wire u put in your normal tv. the coax goes from our satellite to the lan card that is already in our computer. if u need further info you can try www.dtn.com in the residential service ... i hope that i wont be punished for posting a web address on here..

LoL, punished?
We aren't that strick of a people..Well most of us anyway. As long as the address is of good taste and protains to what we are talking about, then there isn't a reason to be punished :).
The only down side is that you may have a bit of a problem playing the game decnetly even if you have the setup correct to play. You see, Satalite may offer broadband, but usually it comes at a price. Compared to Cable or DSL broadband internet, Satalite connections tend to have a high ping count. What is ping ? Ping it the amount of time in Milliseconds (1/100 a second) for your computer to respond to another computer request. Usually a ping of 80-150 Milliseonds of ping time i required. You can attempt to set up a connection, I will look for the information. You will most likly need to install another network card, but with the ethernet jack (RJ-45) that the Gamecube and other networking cards use.
Question : What operating system and version are you using?(Windows, Mac, Linux ,etc.)
Just post back with comments and info and we will continue.

well now...maybe it isnt satellite maybe it is...it goes to a tower like 4 blocks away from here idk where it goes from there...i play unreal tourny 2k4 with no problems as with allthe blizzard games and such and upload speed is usually 200+ and dl is 500+
on unreal ping is at most 115
on all my bliz games its under 100
on halo pc its about 75 at most
as for the networking card how much do those run and where can i find one (if u know of a specific model could u post it and a link to the site?)
operating system: windows xp home edition
do u need to know the type of lan card they provided ? and is there a specific type of networking card i will have to use ... and when i install a networking card will the connection automatically go from the gc to the cpu and out the sat. at the top of my roof? basically will it work to use a cpu as a router?

Well, your computer should act as the network traffic router in such a setup. The method used should be a sepret 10/100 ehternet PCI network card in anohter PCI slot in your system. From there you will use a "CROSSOVER CABLE". This cable is identacal to a normal Cat5 ethernet wire, except the wires inside are in a diffrent order on each end. You can get one at the store.
Now before you run out and spend, I suggest you confirm this with the peo0ple whom made the software, for they will know if there is an additional catch , due to your type of setup. In theory, it should work though.
Here is the page to type in the information request to the people at WarpPipe Software. WarpPipe Tech Support (http://www.warppipe.com/contact/)
This is the Network setup page, you will use the setup with two network cards, pictures provided here. Network,Two cards. (http://www.warppipe.com/gettingstarted/network_setup.html)
Send them a message and see what they tell you. As long as you ping count in low, as you said, I don't seea problem. GoodLuck and post back!

did i mention this is mainly for pso?...well it is... but i might give warp pipe a try if i get this to work...btw...how much is this pci networking card and "crossover cable" gonna run me
also...theres kind of like a built in fire wall in this connection that i cant turn off... will that hinder my ability to play games like pso? or anything on warp pipe?
and i got the my current card specifics: cisco systems 350 series PCI wireless lan adapter

Now, it is a wireless card?
The best solution, for right now untill we get more information, would be to call your ISP tech support and explain to the the same problem. BEing that they most likly encounter many of these same questions, and know the exact hardware they gave you, I am sure they will be able to better recocomend a solution. First I thought it may be a BNC netword card, which stuck me as odd for not many are used today. Now you say you have a PCI wireless land card for your computer. I am not sure if you are pointing out that a colaxial cable runs from the cable box to your computer, but it should not being that you just said you have a wireless card...?
As I said, best call tech support from your Internet Service Provider. They, most likly, have encounted the game problem with the hardware you have and should be able to help you without it costing you anything, besides being if extra hardware is needed.

thats the thing...they have no freakin clue down there ... i called once they said any router will work i called again and they say they have a special coax that doesnt connect to routers...and there is no cable box ... it goes from the lan card to the sat. on our roof to a sat on a tower here in town.
it says wireless lan card but theres still a wire goin through it (the coax)
