Are only exclusive PS3 games allowed to be discussed in this forum?

Look, it really seemed like Viper was saying multiconsole games should not be discussed on this forum. That would mean only PS3 exclusive games could be discussed. Personally, I like the idea. Because it would be giving support to the game developers that have the courage to keep their games exclusive to the PS3.

However, I guess I was wrong.

I prefer to keep it the way it is. If it's on PS3 we should be allowed to discuss it regardless of exclusivity.

PS3 forum = for everything that is at least a little bit relevant to the PS3, or is focused on the PS3 or yadayadayada.

Multiplatform releases that appear on the PS3 are very much PS3 things, and the vast majority of our little e-society here would prefer that we can talk about PS3 multiplat games here.

So by democracy's word and to accept the norms of our e-society, we should keep allowing everyone to talk multiplat games any specific console's section.

If you're gonna propose a multiplatform section, I am going to say no to that too. Mainly because you can be multiplatform and be on the 360 and Wii, the PS3 and 360, the cell phone and PC, etc, etc and it'd be retardedly messy. And even more so that all the multiplat talk can simply go into the PS3, 360 or Wii section if they concern said platforms and make it easier on everyone.

It's both simpler, and people are fine with it. I can't even imagine anyone proposing this and realistically expecting a change like that or that any large group of people would want such a change.

What on earth does courage have to do with anything? Chivalry sunk with the Titanic, and it's hardly going to reappear in the world of videogames. People make business decisions, no less. If you want me to explain why MGS4 is still exclusive to the PS3, it's not because he was 'brave enough' to do it, it's because he likes the PS3 and he likes to associate MGS with the PS3 and because many MGS fans buy Playstation. For FF XIII, it's because lots of RPG fans buy up them PS3s.

Seriously... brave enough? Give me a break, Sony, MS, and Nintendo aren't trying to hire mercenaries or something who are 'honourable' enough to stick with one console maker. People gotta stop talking like there is something more than business involved, or friendly ties between company. Is Insomniac or Kojima brave to stick with Sony? Hell no, they just have very, very good business relations and think by supporting each other fully they will both thrive better than if they did not fully support each other. There's no 'courageous I can fight dragons and slay a million persians in the 6th century' involved, at all. None. There's only "My business feels more comfortable here than here."

I would like to request a PS3 exclusives only sub-forum be created for those of us who would like to focus on games such as Heavenly Sword, Lair, Motorstorm, and others that will only be on one console.

Please... I knew you would ask that.... I think the majority of us would rather have all the multiplat PS3 titles and PS3 excl. titles in one place. For most of us, it's a lot easier. I'm not browsing 2 seperate sections to see all my PS3 news, no way...

MILR, I'm sure the mods will tell you a similar thing, they'd like to satisfy your preference for this, but it'd make much more sense for you too simply only enter those threads you are interested in.

I have to agree. Most people don't even like to leave the forum to go the the linux forum for linux related news and questions, so I don't see something like that working out very well. Let's just keep it simple.
